MSFS and Air Hauler 2 - Episode 1 - New Company and First Flight Rating Test!

I have had fun playing this addon over the years. I like the cargo portion myself. I fully agree with you. I wish MSFS would add something like within the sim itself. It is a bit of a challenge recording two different applications and then editing so I am planning on uploading this series once or twice a month. Thanks for watching!

How do I import aircraft? Like if i want to use the Fenix a320, how do I add it?

Hi, there is a tab under the management tab for importing custom aircraft. There you should see import via SIM connect. Once you have followed connecting. You need to open up the aircraft and sit in the cockpit. AH2 should then automatically import the aircraft. There are detailed instructions in the manual. Starting on page 165 to 169. You can find the manual in your AH2 folder where it is installed. Let me know if this helps, I just got started on a long flight so not able to get all of the details. I will be done with the flight in a couple of hours if you need more help.

how did you pass the flight rating, it says you took off from the wrong airport?

Air Hauler was reading a different airport at the very beginning but once I set-up the flight to leave from KCLS it corrected itself. I think it is a small glitch when you first start up.

How did you know what to do in the test? Because it never showed in the Objectives at all.

There is a tab called "In-Flight Message Log" that lists out your objectives. Not sure why it doesn't so in MSFS but click that open during the test. You can see it around 6 minutes into the video in the center of the screen. In the old FSX it would show in the in flight objectives. One of the challenges of recording Air Hauler and MSFS, I have to record two different screens at the same time.

@kiwinesss as I mentioned I will be doing them once or twice a month. So the next couple of vids are Bush trips. I will have another AH2 vid after them. Hopefully with an update on my company and adding a new aircraft and AI pilot to the mix, stay tune for that. Feel free to ask questions and I will help wherever I can. AH2 also has a pretty good forum you can find from the Just Flight page as well and that helped me a lot. Happy flying!

I can't see on the screen where you are getting your instructions to alt and heading, I had to put the sim into to window mode and keep going back to Air Hauler 2 screen to tell me what alt and heading to go to, I thought it would come up on the "objective" window top left.

I am getting them from information tab in Airhauler. There is the map tab, the kneeboard tab and the information tab. Have it open while you are flying and the instructions will come up there. The old Airhauler use to show it on screen but I think that changed with MSFS.

I have my MSFS in full screen and still able to click in Airhauler for my information. I go back and forth all the time with out affecting my flight.

I have got "map tab", Kneeboard info", "Inflight message log", and "Flight monitoring options", again I can't see Air hauler if I go to full screen, but thanks for your help anyway.

I think I know the problem, I have two monitors and you only have one I am guessing. The only time you really need to see the inflight info is when you are doing a check ride. The other option maybe is getting a small cheap monitor or tv that can act as a monitor and use it when you are playing MSFS and Airhauler. Good luck and good flying!

Thank You. I've just purchased MSFS 2020 (today actually), and I have used Air Hauler 1 with FSX. Too bad it doesn't work with MSFS 2020. Price is a bit steep. Quick question, have you had Air Hauler 2 crash on you? Liked, and Subscribed. Edit: Very good landing.

Thanks for subscribing! Actually it has run very well, I started playing back as Air Hauler and have been playing it for years. I only have had AH2 lock up a couple of times and had to close it with the task manager. It has never crashed my system, otherwise it has run perfectly.

I don’t get why devs think airlines start with a C172 lol.. let me stay my career with at least an ATR.

The new MSFS 2024 is that way for sure. AH2 actually will let you start with a jet and more money or you can start with a 152 if you really want to grind ;)
