This is going to be a wonderful new simulator. Can you imagine the shear genius behind the fact, out of the clouds, dialing in a runway frequency, among many, talking to all different towers, and ground crews, and all of the thousands of other aspects involved going on between thousands of pilots,and so on! These people involved in the production of such an undertaking should get some kind of worldly reward. This indeed a monumental task not unlike the invention of electricity! Enough cant be said.❤

Just a slight correction to your statement that the current vision jet in MSFS 2020 is not the same developer as the new Vision Jet to be included in MSFS 2024. FLIGHTFX is both the original and current developer of the vision jet, and they just made the announcement on their Discord that they are honored that the Vision Jet was chosen to be included in the release of MSFS 2024...I am so happy, as I fly the vision Jet almost exclusively now for my virtual vision jet vacations videos and absolutely love it!

I hope they implement dynamic LOD with more than just “a button”. There’s a lot more to optimize than can be accomplished with a Boolean radio button. How about exposing the graphics impacting LODs, clouds and the like via Simconnect variables? That way, we can tweak things on the fly either manually or by using a 3rd party software algorithm. Someone might have even made a wishlist item for just such a thing! ;)

They are exported today. That is why AutoFPS app works (and works very well!)

Not exposed legitimately. AutoFPS has to read and write memory addresses, which is why it’s considered forbidden by MS. A change to the SDK/Simconnect is required to access them in a way that adheres to the rules. And I don’t really blame them for not wanting people to mess inside their memory map. The solution is to expose the variables with the same access as the elevator trim axis, for instance.

It's not a mid-lower range PC configuration issue. I have a state-of-the-art PC and autofps (dynamic lod) improved my experience dramatically (4090 / 7800x3d) in VR.

I have been doing a lot of testing and it seems like the only time I have an issue with VR is with add on scenery. Flying Vanilla MSFS in VR it is silky smooth on my 5800x3d and 4090. If I start adding in add on scenery that is poorly optimized like BWI Airport, it gives my system a heart attack in VR.

Makes no difference in PCVR with my i913900k/rtx4090 imho. I use TLOD/OLOD = 150 and this works well everywhere. No need for so-called game-changer LOD mods/hacks, for me anyway. When your system starts crashing because of the effect these mods/hacks may have on msfs memory allocation you may want to think twice before installing these. Up to you of course. Posting reviews about these mods/hacks are not currently allowed in the msfs user forum btw. Just saying......

@@theegodelpozo I did try and had lots of system problems trying to enable it. Probably just as well imho. When this becomes a properly supported option I will try it again. This is already a supported option for Xbox so it shouldn’t take too long. Again, not something I think is necessary for high end PC’s. Dynamic-anything is just going to be another source of stutters imho. Up to you if you want to drink all the game-changer lemonade that many KZbinrs pour out, lol!

Good points, mainly in the end about the developer. I am surprised the level of community engagement from Asobo for today's mkt standard. MSFS is not a monthly subscription product, but their commitment and development is far above expectations for a pay once & use forever kind of product/software. I hope other developers would do the same, instead, others just pretend everything will be fixed in the next game version, which is never the case.

Dynamic LOD is a must for all users IMO … especially when landing at some third party dev airports

Dynamic LOD is only needed with lower-end PC's imho. Current dynamic mods/hacks can effect msfs memory allocation so you should think twice before installing these so-called game changers. Up to you but I'd wait until msfs developers incorporate this properly into the PC version.

Right on ! I had the exact same thought about negativity. They need to cut that off. Some so-called experts are just showing off their own knowledge. The sim is a marvel. I would like to see them talk about that a little more. Like, who made some of those wonderful POI's and bespoke airports. The hours and money spent had to be off the charts. And how do they accomplish that ultra-realistic look of grass and farmland. If you look close, even the tire marks are how farmers actually drive the fields at the row ends. All this technical crap is getting old. Give me something lighter and to like about this sim. Then there is the drone. It is a big part of the sim and it's controls should be totally reworked to slider support simply because it is for all the eye-candy people who are many. Maybe even the most.

I'm from the South of England and use VR and had no problems flying over London into Gatwick, Heathrow etc.But since those Last updates i can't fly anywhere in the south of England in VR because of low frame rates . Im now restricted to the North Scotland etc. Surely i can't be the only one. I updated my headset from the Quest2 to the Q3 don't know if that's the problem.

I run SU15 beta using Pimax Crystal with a 4080, openxr and autofps - its silky smooth. Takes quite a bit of tweaking with OXR Toolkit but it's easily achievable to get great performance. It's just so tedious and predictable to see the same old moaning about performance, or price of addons. We pay a 1-off relatively cheap price for this sophisticated software, the cost per hour of enjoyment is trivial.

I wonder if they're going to do anything about the insane shimmering we see now with TAA. I honestly don't know how you streamers do it without pulling your hair out over how unstable this simulator has been the last three years. I got mine good, manage to slide through one or two updates, and then boom an update comes along that wrecks my graphics or my performance or both and then I'm spending two hours on reddit trying to figure out how to fix things. And it just goes and goes and goes. I've been playing since August of 2020 and I'm just TIRED at this point.

Privat SEL Complex Instrument. NOW where can I Try before I buy a Turnkey system that actually looks/acts/deels like a plane and not a bunch od junk on a desk. I've got the cash for the right TurnKey system, but no one selling this stuff does TURN KEY. OH how powerful of a Graphic card is need ti see nothing till 200 & 1/2.
