I followed along with this whole tutorial yesterday and was so happy when I finally got into the air, with my route working, and autopilot doing what it was supposed to. Not an issue I've personally come across, try and reinstall your graphics drivers perhaps. Make sure that they're all updated.

Every time I go to turn on the APU, I always get a fault on the APU Master switch, why is that? APU bleed is on prior to starting the APU and I have 50%+ fuel.

No TOGA button, you need to set the throttle into the takeoff position. As for setting the LNAV and VNAV, you need to push the speed, heading and altitude knobs to that the numbers disappear and a dot appears on the display.

You can certainly Google the numbers, it has the lot, otherwise you can refer to your airport charts.

Which version of the A32NX are you running? This tutorial was done with a slightly older version of the A32NX Dev branch. Updates happen, so minor changes to displays will happen.

The FlyByWire A32NX is freeware. This tutorial is as simple as it gets, which by looking at the comments has helped a lot of people. Be patient with the jetliners, otherwise they may not be for you.

I need help. I do everything you say (except the fms part, because msfs automatically does it for me when creating a flight plan) whenever i fly, it shows 2 paths, the one i would take with all the waypoints and stuff to go to the airport, and another never ending line that just goes north and south, and it says "manual" for heading 176 on the screen with the paths in the top right corner, even though i have it on managed and stuff. Can you help? Edit: there was a "manual" input in the flight plan and then a discontinuity after it (which cant be removed after a manual), and this happens every time when the flight plan is created through msfs, so i had to manually tell it to direct to the first waypoint, and then it works fine.

Hi drawyah i had a doubt about the fmc. In the world map screen in the beginning of msfs should we select vfr Or high altitude airways as if i select high altitude airways a predefined set if waypoints are already entered into the fmc. If i load the simbrief file there are other waypoints already entered in my fmc. What settings should i use on the world map to get the flight plan in fmc showing just the departure and arrival airports and let me enter the waypoints manually?

High Altitude Airways show you route information and waypoints, VFR will show you ground maps for visual navigation and airports.

Check the EFB settings and make sure you have a METAR source enabled.

I aim to cover it on my channel one day, as despite it being a freeware, it completely goes past what someone may expect and actually provides a fantastic simulation platform! Hi, so I've got a problem recently after taking off, I usually hand fly for the first 10 mins to get everything stabilized, but once I turn of the AP, the aircraft suddenly turns right or left away from my planned route... it will take around 3-5 mins for it to engage into nav mode and spd mode. Am I doing something wrong here? Help would be appreciatied

Make sure that you have your aircraft intercepting your flightplan when you activate autopilot. If you're flying in a straight line away from your route for 10 minutes, good chance you're just making it harder for your aircraft to calculate the intercept for your trip.

I have my control settings set to 'legacy' which is why you see the arrow. You need to be able to pull on the QNH knob to leave standard altimeter and adjust as required.

Help i am still struggling to sort out my sim since the update 5. My throttles 1 and 3 aren’t working and are completely opposite to what they should do, where as throttles 2 and 4 work fine, this was all working fine before the update, now its not. And this is my first pc so idk what to do or how to do it. I can’t even get alot of help from the support team.

No. Modern Airbus aircraft have autotrim which does not require you to manually set anything. Just hold your angle of attack, the aircraft will do all of the work.

Any idea why my flight plan never really changes as far as altitude? I just did a whole flight from Boston to Chicago and ATC never told me to go above the initial 8,000 ft level, even though I had entered my FL as FL340.

Don't use default ATC, it's not very good. I use the IVAO online network, otherwise it's better to fly without and just stick to your flightplan.
