For the PC version (non VR) I turn off the "Fringe" option as it stops the red/blue splitting of the edges of the images at the extream left and right of the screen, especially when in your profile page where you see the inside of the hanger, thats where its most obvious. This also makes the image clearer and sharper at the extremities.

It’s called “chromatic aberration” and I will never know why Adobo decided to add it because in the realm of photography it’s widely regarded as a bad optical effect and extremely obnoxious.

@@2020fsers Did several tests and FSR works absolutely the best. The G2 and the sim seems like a new game in total :) Great performance and great visuals. Solid 38fps with LOD Terrain 235, Objects LOD 200, a lot of stuff on ultra or high. Hardly any stutters and low fps (

Great review. What gpu are you using? Also did you turn off the post process in vr config to get the world scale to operate? Also what planes do you find you need the world scale lower? All planes or certain ones? And what did you end up with for scale factor and sharpness? Sorry for all the questions it will help when I do the video.

@@2020fsers I’m on AMD and using the Dark Hero VIII I have the option for dynamic OC Switching. Meaning I configured my 5950x for single core up to 5.125Ghz and multi core 4.65Ghz and never get about 71C on the package. It does however then pulls 123W PPT. For my g.skill TridentZ 3600 CL14 64GB, I just opted for standard DOCP (XMP) Then my Strix RTX 3090 I got clocked up to 2040Mhz and memory 2532Mhz, pulling a whopping 402W but I can keep it up to 68C and Memory Junction (and hotspot) up to 82C. Then nVidia driver 511.23 and OpenXR 109.2111.23003 (100 render scale) and NO Motion Reprojection I tried a lot of things and in the end it turns out that Resizable BAR, HyperThreading and HAGS on gives me the, not only best, but most stable results. I indeed took a look at the config file and it turned out I already had applied the settings like in your video before. By the way my config file (steam installation) was not located where you mentioned in the video. It’s in the roaming folder. I was surprised that FSR gives beter performance and visuals over NIS though. As far as I know FSR is software algorithms where NIS is using the hardware? I can be wrong here but for sure FSR works best for me. The WorldScale Override is really something I so like. Most of the time flying GA and I always had the feeling if someone would be next to me for real in the plane he (or she LOL) would be sitting half on my lap :) Today I used the Just Flight PA-28R Turbo Arrow III. I’m also using the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo as well as TPR for my rudders. Takes several flights to find all the buttons wearing the G2 though LOL

Not sure what you mean by that but I can only give the info I have from where my config is located (also i posted the lnfo of the folder location right from ms website) if yours is in a different location then how would I know that ? Not being rude just don't know what kind of answer or response you were looking for.

thats if you have the steam version the xbox app and microsoft store users will have it in the location mentioned in the vid

Dont know what happend, Was checking out another video of you to change some settings in nvidia ontrol panel. Installed a new driver and then, the photogrammetry not working. Buidings looks like crap. Did a system restore but didn’t help. I had 2 issues 1. pixelated clouds 2. Buildings look like crap 1 was solved en 2 also fixed after turning on the setting last when i commented on this video. Amd suddenly it came back Do you have also have a solution for number 2? I have a Gbit connection so thats should not be the problem. It worked well in every different city until changing and updating the driver. So anoying problem 😆 Thank you.

I set it as read only, as I still get the settings reset to some "default" setting, and I cant find where this is coming from. I suspect that it is something saved in my xbox profile that reverts it back after a Sim restart.

Ok so if you are having this issue , easy fix right click on the cfg file go to properties then at the bottom check box for read only . . But if you do this you cannot make changes to the graphics setting inside the sim unless you unchecked that box again this is because you are making it read only . Hope this helps

I would still leave them off . Settings won't remove the pixelization completely . I still get them from time to time I think it's a sim thing .

I have a 4090 and do not even see raytracing in the UserCfg.opt file ! Now what ? My Sim all of a sudden over night has become so bright and i can't seem to get it change back to what it was ! It's friggin blinding me .

Think I found the problem . The sim kept booting to the wrong monitor so I put it to window mode , moved it to my 4k 55" and left it in window mode , rebooting the sim and brightness has gone and it went to my 4k 55" . . Was driving me crazy , also why was it going to the other monitor ? Any idea how to force it to always go to the correct monitor ?

The only thing incan think of is in the nvidia panel set you monitors for the main and secondary. I wouldn't use raytracing it seemed to give me stutters but test it on your system.

Turn on the ray trace also . Also your nvidia settings can help with the clouds did you check out the graphics video on nvidia settings I did.

None of the settings that I talk about should impact fps in a negative way its just post process graphic changes to how the sim renders the images via filter and such.

What Drive do you run your sim on? I reinstalled mine and may have an issue. It’s strange but it’s on My D drive storage but for some reason it’s on my C drive Short cut to the D drive. I think when I reinstalled it I picked D from the Xbox App on My PC but when the Sim opened I think I hurried and picked C there. It seems to run fine but it’s a pain to install add ons I have to use C drive Route to install. When I delete I have to do it from the D drive. I’m thinking about redoing the install. It is the only thing I run on my PC. I will not use it for anything but MSFS.

Hey that is a conundrum lol I would do a complete reinstall and make sure you get the drives correct it may be giving you other issues that you are not aware of .

Probably not sharpening ,that will exacerbate the problem . Maybe an update needed . Does it look like blocky tiles loading

Wow that's crazy I haven't had many but a couple here and there. Turn off hags mode that may help or some have said to turn it on and that made things more stable.
