Guardians of Health: Strengthening Infection Control Committees in Senegal

From safeguarding patients and healthcare workers against infections to guaranteeing the proper disposal of medical waste, infection control committees (ICCs) stand as a proven strategy for cultivating a secure healthcare environment. In collaboration with Senegal’s Ministry of Health and Social Action, the USAID MTaPS Program is actively working to fortify ICCs at health facilities across the country.
