How long does the battery last (both gaming and regular use)? Also is the screen bright enough to use near a window during the day?

@@AIDANPEREIRA battery standard wise no gaming will last you good 6 to 7 hours. Gaming wise on a laptop will always be lower than that cause if the power consumption of the graphics card and everything else your looking at 3 or 4. I just leave it plugged in to get the power bro trust me just get it it’s good the screen is nice and bright as well not the best but it’s good 👍🏼 I’m still using it till this day is worth good buy

@@johnc4736 by screen brightness i mean unplugged. My current laptop is just useable at max brightness during the day when plugged in... If there isn't a charging point nearby, the screen dims when on battery power and its pretty much unusable. Is the screen bright enough during the day when on battery power? (Usually takes a minute or few for the screen to dim on battery power)

MSI GF66 11UE-605XR Those who say there is a heating problem should enter the BIOS settings, press CTRL + SHIFT + ALT + F2 at the same time, open the ADVANCED settings, enter the turbo performance in the advance settings from the BIOS settings, enter the CPU performance settings and DISABLE the TURBO. When this setting is made, it is between 70 72 degrees with cooler boost in games, the normal temperature value is 60 degrees.

hey brother how much should be the safe value to undervolt it. should i do it in advance bios or intel XTU is supported. also disabling turbo cause any performance issue in games. (does it lower performance and clocks)

@@devanshanil2468 i dont know what is XTU but advance mode is not good for that. Yuo should choose auto or balanced mode also disabling turbo mode degrees temperature(heat) and make stable FPS in game

I bought a 12 gen 3070 with 8gb and 16gb ram. Fantastic machine I don't regret it just joy. Msi is to be congratulated. Render in premiere is a rocket after is a bullet in DaVinci is very top not to miss anything. Blender a project I made takes 3s to render in my previous one takes 1 minute. I'm happy.

@@TKBay Awesome, thank you for your review. I think I found my new laptop. The one I have now is no slouch really, it's 4gb dedicated video (gtx 2060 gtx), came with 8gb system ram, I upgraded to 16gb, gen 9 or 10 i7 CPU, so not really lacking in performance I just wanted something smaller form factor, 15" as apposed to my 17". While 17" is nice and all, it tends to be a bit cumbersome when lugging it around places. Using it in the vehicle is a nightmare compared to a 15". The 17" is just a weee bit to closed quarters for comfort. I did upgrade to SSD, 2tb. A little overkill honestly, because I don't even come close to using 1tb

I have this laptop and aside from hating how hot it gets (especially when I play the Sims, it gets insanely hot and I have to boost the fan often), having the Sims (yes I do have cc, but even my old laptop dealt with that admirably) makes the whole laptop struggle. Like I will just be on the internet and the graphics judders and glitches and I have to restart it. I have had plenty of laptops and have never gotten seven months of having it and already hating it and wanting to replace it. From running The Sims 4! It's weird.

So this is very much in line with most MSI laptops they're light utilize more plastic in the body construction but the hinges were solid I did not have any problems with them it is still though an MSI laptop which is focused on making the laptop lighter and easier to carry

Hi, I was looking to buy this laptop. 1. Wanted to know if the HDMI port is connected to the GPU or the onboard Graphics. 2. Also if the HDMI Port would support a 1080p 144hz monitor with the right cable. (or whats the max refresh rate it can support on a 1080p monitor)

1. The HDMI port is connected to the GPU so it acts as a MUX switch and definitely helps in improving performance. 2. Yes, I connected the laptop via HDMI cable to my 1080p BenQ monitor and was able to achieve 240hz.

The only operable hardware on this system is the SSD and the memory no option for replacing the GPU. And since we don't have thunderbolt, we don't have the ability of using external EGPUs as well. So no what you get with the system at the time you buy is going to be what you have.

Regardless of the battery 🔋 on gaming laptops you will get most out it running in low graphics settings I get 5 hours. High graphics I only get like 2 to 3 hours but that’s just how laptops are just leave it plugged in
