@Graxu132Ай бұрын
@@tryfergoodra552 It's really not that bad on mine. When the screen is fully black, only one spot has noticeable bleed which I would guess is caused by overtightened screw inside the monitor. It doesn't bother me even though my previous monitor which is a TV (LG 55Nano916NA) has Full Array LED HDR and there was no light bleed. I do have a dead pixel in the bottom left corner, about 3.5cm and 0.5cm away from the left and bottom border. I'm mad af that I have it but it doesn't really bother me while watching or gaming.

Thank you for your effort. I hate oversaturation but I also don't like washed out looks, do you think the native sRGB mode is good enough? Because I will use it on gaming consoles also and I can't make any calibration there (unless it's possible to save a hardware one) but the monitor I have is incredibly undersatureted and on the cold side on the sRGB mode, except the color red which is overstureted, the colors just aren't deep as they should and it looks terrible. I just want accurate colors man
@PCMonitorsАй бұрын
The sRGB mode on this one should be relatively good as explored in the review (mileage may vary as it depends on the unit).
@nvidioso6571Ай бұрын
Yes i saw it, but the thing that worried me was the low gamma, wich can't be adjusted in the monitor, and I don't know how much washed out or deep the colors are
@Butterwichtel3 ай бұрын
Could you use the OSD to adjust User mode so that it matches sRGB as close as possible? Because the dedicated sRGB mode doesn't have 100% coverage, as you've mentioned.
@PCMonitors3 ай бұрын
No, the only way to clamp the gamut effectively in the OSD is to use the 'sRGB' setting. Or you could use alternative sRGB emulation - pcmonitors.info/articles/taming-the-wide-gamut-using-srgb-emulation/.

What have folks done with their brightness, contrast and most importantly sharpness settings out of interest? Sharpness seems an interesting one, as it basically bevels contrast which picks out details but can compromise the image. I sort of like having it on a tiny bit?
@PCMonitors26 күн бұрын
The neutral (default) sharpness is technically "optimal" (most accurate representation of the image) at the native resolution, subjective preferences could dictate a different choice there. Brightness is down to personal preferences and lighting conditions. Contrast should be left at the default setting which is optimal and properly maintains shade distinction at both the high and low ends.
@NFawc26 күн бұрын
@@PCMonitors What is the defailt value for contrast? Once you've changed it - as I have - there's no way to determine the default setting? The colour seems far FAR more vivid that my previous Asus PB278QV (IPS). Sure I'll get used to it. Another thing of note is my NVidia 4070 isn't detect GSync is available (so not offering it to me in NVidia Control Panel) - I'm connected through HDMI through an ATEN CS1822 KVM (which is suppose to be Freesync compatible). @PCMonitors26 күн бұрын
@NFawc You can perform a factory reset in the OSD if you can't remember default values. You need to use DP for 'G-SYNC Compatible', per the review. This isn't an HDMI 2.1 monitor.

And this is why I said at the start of the video that individual units and preferences differ. You may have also been used to a monitor with a spectrally very different backlight or with a high white point (possibly both), which may look 'cool' by comparison even at the same white point. But again, don't just copy these settings and expect perfection - they're only appropriate for my unit and testing environment.

That varies between individual units and is not really something that is useful to assess in isolation, which is why it isn't done in our reviews. Unless there is obvious backlight bleed or clouding which is clear in dark scenes in the video and is bringing out the 'IPS glow' more strongly in certain regions of the screen. This and 'IPS glow' more broadly is assessed in our reviews.
