Been looking for a long time for a new monitor. I was on a 29" Ultrawide, then I went to my current MG278Q, because Overwatch doesn't support 21:9 correctly. But going from an IPS to a TN was awful in terms of color. I could afford to buy a 500-700 monitor that's still 1440p/144hz, but I'd rather not... How far do you sit away, and if you've played on a 1440p monitor, how different is it compared?

Orlyy i haven't tried 1440p. I game.like 2or 3 ft away. And the quality is still like im using a 24 inch in terms of pixels. At 1st i was skeptical of usibg 32 inch coz it's big but i got used to it aftr 1 day of playing. I like it when im playing tekken coz im like 5ft away from the monitor

People are just over-zealous with 4K 8K terminology. When over 15 feet away or less 1080p is just about as good as 4k. If you're playing games - I understand almost, but I think in general 1080p was the pinnacle of visual HD for human perception, esp for shows/movies/video editing. Your eyes do not need more!

Yup but you need external speakers.

A console will only output 60hz so it will work but not at 144hz.
