The fans do ramp up a little but it's fairly silent even during gaming sessions, you probably wouldn't notice unless you are very near to your PC.

Yeah should be fine using speakers it's unlikely you will hear the graphics card when playing sound through speakers

I recently got this card as a gift and I'm wondering if it'll work with my current setup, i7 4770K, Z87-PRO MB, 16GB RAM, 650W? This PC has worked without a hitch för 10 years now, I hope it can last just a little longer until I can afford to upgrade the other parts as well. 😅

Cyberpunk should be a tad better with DLSS - I'll check my eye out for that video - Where did you buy the 3050 from? I am still thinking 1070 if they move to around £160 near summer mainly because I think a 3050 will bottleneck my i7-3770 albeit with that added layer of future proofing,👍

Yeah I am sure with dlss you could get higher frame rates. I got lucky to find it on Amazon UK, was only 1 in stock so was lucky nobody found it quicker then me. I think you will find it difficult to find a 1070 at £160 anytime soon, but you never know GPU prices are slowly dropping.

@@UltraGameWorld Darn lucky find that👌 True, however CEX has knocked off £20 on the 1070 in the last week so fingers crossed the only way is down and I am in no rush, just squeezing out 60fps 720p Ultra Quality FSR on DY2 with my 960.

MSI gaming x is the better version, better cooler and you get some RGB too, this ventus model is the cheaper version of that card

Definitely rx 6600 for 300 dollars is the best buy there, that's a great price for that card as it beats the rtx 3050 in performance

I am thinking of buying this graphics card (MSI GeForce RTX 3050 VENTUS 2X OC 8GB GDDR6) as a upgrade for my current MSI GeForce GTX 1060 GAMING X 6GB GDDR5. Do you think it would be a good upgrade for me or should i aim for a RTX 3060 12GB or something else. My CPU is AMD Ryzen 5 5600 and i’ve got 2x8GB of DDR4 3200MHz CL16 ram. Otherwise my GTX 1060 6GB is still fine for my gaming needs but CoD Warzone seem to be a little bit too intensive for it so that’s why i am upgrading.

I would probably go with a rtx 3060 or 3060 ti personally as the rtx 3050 isn't that big an upgrade over the gtx 1060

No it's very quiet even when gaming the fans are very quiet and silent. When not gaming the fans completely stop which creates no noise at all

The MSI 3050 ventus x2 Is this model of 3050 but MSI do a few variations of the 3050 but all variations are fairly similar in performance

The Gaming X is a more premium version with better cooling but that graphics card is basically the same as the ventus x2 version

Yeah might bottleneck the gpu slightly, I would try to upgrade to at least an i5 8th gen CPU personally for this graphics card

Yeah would be a good upgrade if you plan on playing modern PC games for sure, I would personally recommend the rx 6600 over this card but this card performs fine too and is still a good option

What's raid tracing? Edit.. its ray tracing. I am looking at this card for a home cinema pc set up. So know nothing about the gaming. It is difficult to find the correct review as I want to know what it's like for playing 4k hdr or dolby vision movies. But it's all games every review.

Yeah it's a gaming card really, you could get a cheaper graphics card that would still work fine for 4k movies

@@UltraGameWorld i got one. Will be installing later today when I get home. Got it from ebuyer. Can pay in 3 installments so not so heavy on the wallet. :) I was using radeon rx 470. Then did an update and had black screen issue. Tried to fix it for nearly a week, gave up and decided best just to buy another card. So gone with nvidia this time but yes i suspect it is a bit over kill for my purposes. I also use magix video editor pro and topaz ai enhance so i just wanted a half decent spec.
