I love seeing Ranai's Villager playing against top players, it shows that even with the very many flaws Villager has he is still able to compete in the current metagame. I'd also like to mention how this MU is a slight advantage for Fox, so again just props to Ranai.

the reason ranai looked like he was being a wall and that Larry couldn't get anything really game 1 was bc he was playing from the ledge the whole game which is what your supposed to do on stage Larry Can get so much conversions but off stage he can't. ranai is smart this is how u should play against fox. play at ledge then go in stage for a second act like ur gunna stay there and then go back. he fools many of you.

Fox must have a really good MU chart for the rest of the cast if Villager is one of his worst MU's, considering Fox has the advantage over Villager.

Yeah, villager struggles against small and fast rush down characters. Also, one of fox's biggest weaknesses is his fast falling turning him into combo food. Villager isn't a combo heavy character, so he struggles against fox.

Fox actually has a slight advantage over Villager, because he struggles against rush down/strong punish game characters. Ranai was just playing the MU really well by keeping Larry out.
