This review really helped me! I was thinking of switching to the apple watch (having been a fitbit user for the past 3 years) because everyone around me kept saying that it's "better" but honestly this video made me realise I don't really need/want like 80% of the features on the apple watch so I'll definitely stick with the fitbit! woohoo!

Yes! The battery life is a deal breaker for me. My husband has to charge Apple Watch every single day, sometimes when he forgets, he can’t use it to track his workout or steps~ also he charges at night, which means he has to miss the sleep tracking thing too. I love the Fitbit report on my sleep quality ~ thanks for watching!

Great comparison, I decided to get the Fitbit Inspire 2, because I use notifications, don’t have to worry about the battery life, and have fairly accurate sleep and fitness tracking
@MsMinglifestyle2 жыл бұрын
Yea yes~ now I got the Fitbit charge 5 and premium, it even has more functions. I use it to track my other areas of health now~ I think Fitbit is a great option if health and fitness are the may purpose of the watch

Yes! My favorite part is the battery life. I didn’t care for the app notifications or returning text with Apple Watch.

You could have done a crossover study where you wear the AW on your right and FB on your left for a week, averaged the steps, and then switched them around on your wrists to reduce confounders! I agree with Chen Chen when he says they're for different purposes. AW is more of a "lifestyle" watch with all of the notification features and phone integration, whereas FB does more for only fitness tracking. It would be interesting to see if you could track steps with a camera on a treadmill (I'm sure there's camera software out there to do so, it would be impractical to manually count) and see which one is more accurate for your use.
@MsMinglifestyle4 жыл бұрын
I was gonna do that. But honestly the difference between the two is so small that i don’t think it’s worth to find out. All my friends with Apple Watch ⌚️ had been complaining about AW tracks less steps and it’s not fair when we do the contest together. This just proves that it’s all in their head. My biggest complaint about Apple Watch is the battery life... I can’t track sleep with Apple Watch cuz that’s the time I charge it. I guess I could charge during work but I would have missed the steps I take during that period... thanks for watching!!

This was EXACTLY what I needed. I’ve been a Fitbit wearer since their inception maybe 8 years ago and I’ve decided to move to an Apple Watch.

Solid comparison video. I have had a Fitbit HR Inspire for about 2 years, the Lets Go exercise touch screen stopped working. I was thinking of switching but after watching multiple comparison videos I decided to get another Fitbit, Inspire 2. Fitbit did give me a 35% discount off the purchase since my Inspire HR broke after 2 years, out of warrantee, so I really appreciated the discount offer.
@MsMinglifestyle2 жыл бұрын
Oh nice! I didn’t know I could get a discount~ recently I got a charge 5 and I really liked the additional functions too! And of course, the best thing about it is the battery life! It’s way longer than Apple Watch~ thanks for watching!

Thank you for the nice comparison. I'm waiting for my Fitbit Charge 5 to arrive. I am presently using a Fitbit Inspire. It was given to me, and it got me into Fitbit. I love the Apple watch, but I too feel you have to charge it too much, and it's is expensive.
@MsMinglifestyle3 жыл бұрын
Yess! We stopped using Apple Watch because it was such a hassle to charge. But if my hubby is doing a outdoor workout, he will charge it to monitor the workouts. I was like, Fitbit does the same thing 😂 another friend of mine said Apple Watch is good if you have to use it to text, call, or play music. Or else it’s not worth it if you need the Apple functions ~

I originally always wore my fitbit Alta hr, but recently I got a Apple Watch series 3 and I’ve had a hard time parting with my Fitbit so I wear them both on opposite arms. I’ve noticed I get way more steps on my Fitbit. I’m a little disappointed Apple doesn’t let you see your step count on the Home Screen by glance. I know all you have to do is swipe up click on your activity and then see but it’s not as easily accessibly viewed like it is on the Fitbit. They really should of added that feature they’d probably get even more sales vs Fitbit if they made it a little more fitness friendly as well. The only benefit of the Apple Watch for me is the ability to communicate. However the battery life on my Fitbit can last for a week without a charge when my Apple Watch hardly lasts a day. My Apple Watch feels more comfortable wearing than the Fitbit but ultimately I feel like the Fitbit is better for someone focusing on their health and not their phones! Apple Watch is definitely more for social not as focused on fitness like Fitbit! They both have pros and cons but I’d have to say my Fitbit is the one I’ll always have more positive things to say about! Oh and now I want a mini trampoline!!😂
@MsMinglifestyle3 жыл бұрын
Yesss!!!!! I think the fact that I was wearing my Apple Watch on my dominant hand may have added a bit of movements and steps. It was way harder to read and use the Apple Watch, and I didn’t like that fact that I was constantly reminded of my social media notifications. Definitely love my Fitbit more~ hey the trampoline is nice~ I like to bounce up and down maybe 10 min per day just to destress and get a bit of cardio 😻

I question the accuracy of steps with fitbit, 7000 on apple and 11400 on fitbit for the same day, yet the sleep data on fitbit is brilliant, I found the fitbit registered me polishing the floor by hand, which is where the extra came in
@MsMinglifestyle3 жыл бұрын
Yea~ that happened to me several times when I move my arm a lot. It is the way it tracks the motion. But most of the time I don’t move my arms that much 😝 ~

@@MsMinglifestyle maybe I need to take it off of cleaning days, or maybe not 🤣 but thanks this comparison will be good for those not having either, you should do, workouts I would totally exercise along with you, had never considered using the mini tramp like you did 💜
@jeremytheoneofdestiny869110 ай бұрын
interesting, I had the complete opposite experience with steps! I took a walk and literally counted my own steps. the apple watch was extremely close to the actual number of steps, whereas the fitbit overcounted by about 10%
@MsMinglifestyle10 ай бұрын
Some of my friends said the same thing ! Next time I’ll try wearing both watches in the same arm!
@MsMinglifestyle10 ай бұрын
My guess is it depends on how much you use your arms when walking. Sometimes when I sit down and use hand gestures a lot when I film videos, Fitbit register more steps even when I’m sitting. But when I walk I don’t use my arms that much

Apple watch actually track less than Fitbit. Much less. My husband was with me together walked the dogs and went grocery shopping, when we came back his Fitbit tracked 13,000 steps, my steps on Apple Watch was only 7,765 steps.

Thanks for sharing your results! I think part of it is also that Fitbit tracks arm movements. Sometimes when I “talk with my hands”, I get a few “steps”…
