The best BAU team was Hotch, Prentiss, Rossi, JJ, Reid, Morgan, and Garcia. Their chemistry and friendships just meshed the best - and the studio execs messed with that because they wanted "hotter chicks"? How effing stupid are they?
@juliacamino6875 Жыл бұрын
I agree they are the best team!
@marieangels6 Жыл бұрын
That is not true AT ALL... Yea at first JJ and Prentiss were let go to bring in a new face (Ashley) but it had NOTHING to do with looks! But they brought them both back! At which point Prentiss CHOSE to leave ON HER OWN. And even if they had never let them go in the first place that team would still have been broken up eventully because of Hotch, Reid, and Morgan leaving the show.. WHICH THE WRITERS HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH cuz Hotch was fired because he kicked one of the writers, Reid left because the actor wasn't interested in reprising the role anymore, and Morgan left cuz he wanted to explore new opportunities,

I have no issues with him. Frankly, I adore him and his social media content with his wife is beyond delightful. He originated one of the lead roles in my favorite musical of all time, so I will always love him. That said, it is more than a little odd that he then went on to do another equally violent show given his reasoning here. Also, I understand it isn't the first time that he just bailed on a contract by no longer showing up at work. It is a little hard to understand that in contrast to the person he appears to be.

Criminal minds stopped feeling like Criminal minds when Hotch left. He was the glue that kept the show together and even though the show was slowly declining before he left, his absence highlight the downslide the show was on. It’s even worse when it’s been revealed that the firing was murky and the writer he ‘kicked’ wasn’t known for being a good guy.
@siljorfag10 ай бұрын
Agreed - most jumped on Thomas Gibson and his "anger issues". It was the case of taking a side without even listening to the other side. I'm not saying the kicking was the correct way to handle it, if it even happened, but to Gibson - I barely saw any work for him after this, it was sad seeing that this one situation affected his career, as he was a great actor. I really hope he's holding it up well, and us fans know his character was irreplaceable.

Criminal Minds is one of the best series ever to be shown on TV, story, actors, filming etc. Thomas Gibson absolutely owned his role and I do think criminal minds lost a whole lot of fans when he was fired. His silent presence is still missed. . Mandy Patkin was perfect but I understand the role to be too dark he did a brilliant job! . I love JJ she is perfect and she should never have been gone, she brings beauty and Grace to the darkness. Garcia is just the rainbow in the clouds. Love her weirdness! I liked Paget from day one! Sheemar Moore. One of the most beautiful people ever to be put on this earth. I was sad to see him go. I enjoyed the new season of Chriminal Minds evolution. The serial killer network and kill kits was definitely worth the watch. Looking forward to the new season.

The moment Thomas Gibson/Aaron Hotchner left the show, I just mentally checked out. There were still other characters to enjoy sure: Gubler/Reid and Cook/J.J. wouldn't leave until season 15 (the second to last season) and Brewster/Prentiss, Bernero/Rossi & Vangsness/Garcia stayed on the show until the end of its run. But similarly to how Moore's/Morgan's departure marked the end of the show's golden age (seasons 3-11), Hotchner being gone was just a *death mark* for the show. Plain and simple. 8:59 the fact that they joke about Mandy leaving the show because it was destroyed his soul and personality and he should’ve “read the pilot closer” is kind of gross to me and makes me lose a lot of respect for them. Being a part of something that dark can really affect someone Kenta and emotionally after a time. Look at Evan Peters needing a break from AHS after portraying some of the characters he has. Some people just have more of a tolerance for it than others. Mandy was doing what was best for him mentally and emotionally by removing himself from the show, and rather than making fun of him, they should respect that, and respect that he opened the door for Joe Mantegna to even join the Criminal Minds universe.

Well, he left without warning any of the cast and crew, when the scripts with him on it were already done and ready for table read. My wife hosted a Pilates workshop at our studio. They used a buddy system for some exercises. Thomas Gibson attended and was my Pilates partner. He struck me as a nice, regular guy.

She was awful. She didn't fit with the team at all, and they spent too much time forcing her entire family story on us.

I loved Hodge. I feel like this show just got rid of people easily. My favorite team is Hodge, Rossi, Reid, Prentice, JJ, Morgan and Penelope

Easily my favorite show! I remember all of these controversies, except for the Shemar Moore embezzling thing, don’t think I ever heard about that one. What I can’t remember is whether there was any controversy surrounding the exit of Lola Glaudini (Elle Greenaway). I’m not JJ’s biggest fan & I especially did not like the fact that she became a profiler. It felt really unnatural for her to just slip back into the series as an expert profiler already; she could have been incorporated back in different ways & still allowing her to be more engaged in cases, without making her a profiler. I don’t know what it is about Jennifer Love-Hewitt, but she is irritating. I never watched that teeny bopper show, what was it, Party of Five or something like that?! I Know What You Did Last Summer was the first time I watched her “act”, well that & the music video, she tries too hard to be the goody two shoes/girl next door. Her character on Ghost Whisperer was beyond annoying- think early to mid-90s sitcoms that almost always have a happy ending, too cheesy 🤮

I have loved Jennifer Love Hewitt acting since she was in party of five. She’s one of the greatest actresses ever I’m really upset that she left Criminal Minds I left her character in it. She’s just a very good actress very talented.

I know some of these scandals especially with CM: Beyond Borders (watched the entire season: my opinion - very weak plots and doesn’t match up to the original run) and Thomas Gibson as Aaron Hotchner leaving (I heard that he’s quite notorious to work with so I’m not surprised that they let him go).

I remember when Thomas got fired, Shemar posted a video about 'karma'. Apparently they did not get along on set, and allegedly was one of the reasons Shemar left the show.🤷♂️

I think the worst thing that happened was screwing with a great cast when you finally had a Winner - JJ, Hotch, Reid, Prentiss, Morgan, Garcia and Rossi were Synergistic ... they were the show!

I find it amusing that the stoic Hotch character was played by an actor fired for violent outbursts! Hotch would never! He played a similarly unemotional lawyer in the series Dharma & Greg.

I personally found Jennifer Love Hewitt to be nice and refreshing. She was till too attractive for the role, just like the blonde intern who's dad was a serial killer, but still a better actress.

Interesting; the only piece I read said it was just to keep the show fresh. I'm more interested in what changes hit the producers and writers. Seemed to me the stories dropped - really big time - in Season 11 . I gave up on the series 12/ episode 4.

Yikes! 5) Somebody thought he was too important (allegedly)! 4) WHAT? I watched it for JJ! 3)Loved Pruitt too. 2) Mandy leaving was shocking but he usually left shows early so sad but oh well. 1) Hotch, well the person playing Hotch was in the news and not looking good! His exit was definitely expected!

@wuraolaolagunju Жыл бұрын
9/11 trope? What is that exactly? Genuine question
@matihascoyne-ontouwiue8829 Жыл бұрын
3000 people died in 9/11, each person has approximately 5 close family and friends their life, so 3000x 5., so aprox 15000 people suffered after 9/11, so it's not a trope, it's a reality.

Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders was the only Criminal Minds series to feature two former CSI actors as main characters. Gary Sinise previously appeared on CSI: NY as Mac Taylor and Alana de La Garza previously appeared on CSI: Miami as Marisol Delko, later Marisol Delko-Caine. In the original Criminal Minds series there was only 1 and that was Adam Rodriquez who played the role of Eric Delko in CSI: Miami.
