My Mom passed away from dementia three years ago. Her very favorite movie was Miss Congeniality. She would watch it over and over again. She couldn't remember most of it, so it was new every time 😂😢 I could remember, but loved to watch my Mom's joy, every time ♥ Love you Sandra, you gave my Mom a lot of joy ❤

Before my dad died, he and I would always watch a movie for Christmas as our Christmas tradition. We almost always watched a Sandra Bullock movie. We both enjoyed what she did (and does) so much. He and I started the movie thing after my mom died at Christmas 10 years before he did. I now must watch one of her movies! Her movies always made us feel good at a sad time.

The part that broke me was her going through the closet for a suitable dress after her mother passed. She starts crying and then doubles over in grief like her stomach suddenly disappeared. When my mom passed, I experienced the exact same reaction. Crying but there’s no sound and doubled over as if there’s a hole where my stomach should be.

About that not being able to sing. My husband lead the All Virginia Chorus. To be able to join/ participate, Sandra would have had to audition among other minimum requirements. He states that she sang very well. Also, she was excellent on the piano. She did audition for a solo with this particular choir, but it was given to someone else. At her first rehearsal, Sandra was still wearing her cheerleading uniform. Sandra was moderately well known because she had two opera parents.
