A few easter eggs that have now been noticed in my household is the comback of vanilla vodka from season 1 to season 3, teammate Roberts going in to subsitute for Jamie in episode 5 season 1 & episode 11 season 3, and sunflowers & darts being featured in the darts hallucination.

Jamie's copy of THE BEAUTIFUL AND THE DAMNED that he tosses into the rubbish bin, we see later in series end that he has kept it and read it, and is the place where he has stored one of the torn pieces of Ted's BELIEVE sign.

@@seanhoutx I don't know how many people noticed this, but did you see where Richard was keeping his BELIEVE piece? I'm 90% sure that it was in the bottle that held the Sand from St. Barts, which where he first slept with a supermodel. I'm only 90% sure though because I think he may have thrown the bottle in with the sand into the curse fire.

In S2 when Akufo tries to buy Sam, Higgins mentions a play he wrote with a similar situation (a billionaire trying to buy a player). When Rebecca asks him how it ends he says they go to a restaurant and find a piece of glass in their meal so they end up getting it for free. In S3 when Akufo returns and eats at Sam's restaurant he says that he found a piece of glass in his meal and asks Sam if it'll be on the house (and Sam says yes). It's only two lines of dialogue in different seasons but you gotta love the attention to detail.

1. Colin being gay was referenced in Season 2 when he talks about Grindr when Keeley talks about Bantr 2. When She's like A Rainbow plays, you can see Higgins' wife dressed in Blue & Keeley dressed in Gold when the lyrics kick in about she's dressed in Blue/Gold respectively. 3. Ted reading Henry Marcus Rashford's book and Marcus himself is referenced in the show via Sam Obisanya at times and Jason Sudeikis himself took a stand for Marcus in real life when he faced abuse after the Euros.

Anyone catch the pinball machine that Beard and Lasso were playing at the end of season 3 when Ted decides to return to the US? It was Wizard of Oz themed - as in Kansas - "there's no place like home". And I believe that the closing credits song was Diana Ross from The Wiz movie, titled Home. In the final game Ted is wearing red tennis shoes - ruby slippers reference? If this series is a reimagining of The Wizard of Oz, it seems appropriate that Rupert would represent the Wicked Witch of the West (Ham).

There are more Cheers references: -The mystery couple in Season 2 turns out to be Sam and Rebecca (Ted Danson and Kirstie Alley's characters in Cheers). -When the actor that played Coach died, they Cheers cast moved a picture of Geronimo that was in his dressing room to the bar wall on set, the last thing Sam does in the series finale is straighten the picture. The same print of Geronimo is on the wall in Mae's pub, and in the series finale she straightens it.

My fave is the shoutout to Hamilton in S2E01. In the pub, Ted asks Beard “Can I be real a second, forget my meal a second?” And Beard replies (in time to keep the original rhythm) “Put down your beer and tell your buddy how you feel a second?” It riffs on the line sung by Washington in Right Hand Man: “Can I be real a second? For just a millisecond? Let down my guard and tell the people how I feel a second?”

My thoughts exactly! If it had gone on longer, I definitely would have watched, but I thought ending it early was a smart move! Too many TV shows go on for too long, and start to have more unnecessary drama and/or outlandish storylines. Ending it after a few amazing seasons kept the show amazing without taking things too far 💚

In Season 2 Episode 6 of Ted Lasso (about 4:30 min in), while listing antagonists i.e. David and Goliath, Ted mention’s Steve Wiebe vs Billy Mitchell, a somewhat obscure reference to a 2007 documentary about Donkey Kong video-game competitors Steve Wiebe and Billy Mitchell. It was directed by Seth Gordon, a friend of Jason Sudeikis. The thing about Allen Iverson's rant vs. Ted Lasso's rant is that AI was the selfish player, essentially saying that he did not need to practice, whereas the Ted Lasso rant was a coach pointing out the selfishness of Jamie and that if he continued on that route that Jamie would be out in a short time. In the end, AI did not win any championship and he is not listed among the NBA's greatest because he was all about AI.

The 'ussie' guy also turned up @ the Christmas dinner table @ the dentist house asking for a photo w/ Kiely when they found help for phoebe bad breath...plus at some point when Jamie is getting his hair cut & throws this guy's phone ( I think in season 2)😊

"If you really were an introvert, you would have been as quiet as a church mouse. Unless that church was Westboro Baptist. Those turkeys won't shut up." Kansans would catch the reference to a Topeka "church" that specializes in hating groups of people.

Ooh! good catch! One more reason to rewatch the series, even though I binge-rewatched the entire show before I could bring myself to watch the final episode.

How about the entire premise of the show being visually depicted in the OPENING CREDITS? The spreading of the Lasso Effect changed not only the team but the community at large as well. It's right there in blue and red.

I haven't had a re-watch in a while but I'm pretty sure Jamie still has the book Ted gave him from s. 1 in s. 3. It might be where he kept his piece of the "Believe" sign when the team was putting it back together.
