Yes. First, what happened to the proposed "Young Howard" sitcom? Everything else involves scenes that we didn't get to see. George watching the snow-filled Thanksgiving Day NFL game between the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins, and pulling out his gun to shoot the TV when the Cowboys lost. The incident where Sheldon was on a bus to a Comic-Con and had to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to a nun, only to wind up with an endless series of love letters from that nun. Sheldon and Missy being forced to dance together in the "Teens for Jesus Hoe-Down." Another incident that wasn't covered on either series but happened in real life during the early-1990's was the Vidor, Texas housing desegregation crisis. This incident stirred up racial tensions the likes of which hadn't been seen since the 1960's, and certainly had an impact on other parts of the state. I would've like to have seen how this may have impacted Medford, Texas.

Mary was much more resilient than the writers indicate at the end. And efficiently stubborn. I don’t think Georgie’s skipping optimism and determination would have saved the day. That said I don’t begrudge a little necessary trimming of the puzzle pieces.

In TBBT Georgie reveals he took care of Missy & Mary while Mary was all broken up and Missy was out doing dumb shit. And you thing Georgie's just gonna add some window dressing? You seem to have not watched Young Sheldon. When Georgie chooses to step up, he steps ALL THE WAY UP

I recently rewatched the show and I realized I completely forgot that they mentioned in the first season that Connie has more children and therefore Mary has siblings. They say she is the only one still in touch with Connie but what are they so mad about so much so that they did not even come to their sister's husband's funeral?

I don’t think there wasn’t any rift of fight between Sheldon and Georgie. As Georgie stated, Sheldon went to college and that was it. Sheldon is not the kind of person that had or has any interest in anyone’s life that doesn’t involve his own interests. They just drifted apart.

They were different, they had no subject or interest in common, whereas Missy, even with being the opposite of Sheldon, she knew how to deal with him and talk to him. Georgie and Sheldon really were not an item. Georgie never hated him or even resented him because Georgie was too busy making a life for himself to have any concerns about his relationship with his brother, or the lack of it.

I made up my own theory on Paige just to get some satisfaction. I think that she and Missy stayed good friends through their teen years, probably doing illegal things along the way but also supporting each other. I don’t think Paige went into science, she was too burnt out from the pressure of her label and family drama. Whatever she wound up doing, I think she’d prioritize being happy. I like to think she and Missy kept in touch as adults, even just the kind of friends who still pick up the phone when the other calls.

As a 41 year old, I hate to admit the before last episode where George dies made be cry quite a bit. Specially how everyone was grieving differently. Specially Sheldon's constant flashbacks to when he last saw his dad and the dad said see ya later. Pretty well done and fairly realistic... no clues, no special speech... just gone. Either way this is tough as f**ck, Not sure what's worse, the instant loss where you don't have the chance to say anything, or the very slow decay of seeing the one you love deteriorate till you look forward to the end of their suffering. Having gone through that last one not too long ago I seriously miss being in my teens and early 20's. Being a responsible adult has it's perks but god damn I miss not having that much responsibility. Like Sheldon looking over his empty room and sofas before leaving for Cal, I remember looking at my parents home before selling it... Life goes on, enjoy it as it goes.

These kinds of questions are the way real life goes. All of us have people in our pasts that are no longer part of our lives. Sometimes we find out years later what happened to them. In most cases though, they are just a memory. Such is life. Not all stories get completion, or even a hint.

They changed so much, even the affair part of his father. In The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon talks about how his father's mistress bought him comics and figures because she wanted to be liked by his children. Sheldon also talks about how his parents' house was damaged while he was in Germany, and how his father died much earlier. There are so many more changes.

Actually it was also made clear in the show that george didnt cheated on mary. In big bang theory when sheldon said that when he came bck home early from germany, he saw his father with someone in the room and that scene was shown in young sheldon where mary and george were role playing, hence sheldon not being able to recognise his mother

@@cj2130 They do break that rule from time to time... "Mayberry RFD" comes to mind... Never was as good as the "Andy Griffith Show" it was spawned off of, but still had familiarity... Old example, I know, but it still happened... But you are correct... They do tend to avoid making original cast members regulars of the spin offs, but that does not mean they don't guest star, or make cameos once in a while... Sometimes they even make original cast members part of the spin off series later on, after the spin off has established itself as having its own identity... Another (older) example of this would be "Star Trek TNG" not wanting to do any stories about Klingons (Aside from Worf) or Romulans in the early episodes... They eventually brought both of them into not only TNG, but also in future "Star Trek" series, such as "Deep Space 9" and beyond...

Roger on Paige. Their "her story is complete" is an excuse. Truth is, they weren't able to recruit Grace for the final episodes. Paige was Sheldon's first love. And she humiliated Sheldon with that fake kiss, then a few years later expected to be treated like a friend. No, her story was not complete. The fans were left without closure.

People may not like it or agree, but it being a memoir also means sheldon could be censoring or covering up some of the stuff that happened in his childhood. Sometimes he's more socially aware than he lets on, may not want to drag his dad through the dirt. A lot of the stuff that happened in BBT didn't happen in young sheldon at all. Sheldon's mom had to go home from germany in BBT, and Sheldon broke his father's clavical. They definitely picked and chose what they wanted to use and left out most of the trauma.

This is the a huge flaw on the plot of the show: Paige. No matter what excuse producers give, she wasn’t suppose to exist at first (because of tbbt) but since they made her, they screwed up at the end..

She was 14 and ran away and was picked up hitchhiking by a couple of guys who were heading to California looking for work. She ended up hooking up with one of them and they lived in an apartment in the middle of the San Fernando Valley and her best friend was a young Korean bride of a serviceman who could barely speak English. I know this, because when I moved to California these were my neighbors.

Why do you think they screwed up? Not every character needs closure, especially since Paige wasn't even close to being one of the main cast. She wasn't Sheldon's friend and definitely not his "crush" how a lot of YS fans who ask about Paige feel, and Missy was likely forbidden to see her after they ran away. If anything they messed up compared to TBBT is the rushed Tam appearance at the end of last season which didn't at all fit in with the story they said in TBBT but it seemed like they forgot about him until the end. He was Sheldon's supposed best friend he cared about so much that he put him on his nemesis list because Tam didn't move to California, yet he didn't talk to him since he left for college. I know Sheldon is self centred but why would he care so much about Tam in TBBT considering how he didn't care in YS. Also they really didn't do much for Missy since the end of season 6/first few episdoes of season 7, she had no plot lines and was back to a background character for the rest of the season until the finale like she was in the first season but instead of having funny one liners she was just angsty and annoying which isn't most unrealistic but they could've done so much better with her character.

A few others: Why wasn't Connor at the wedding, or the funeral, or anywhere in the parent's house (he doesn't seem like he could support himself independently) or anywhere except the baby shower? What happened to Bobbi? When did Missy gain a Texan accent? Did Mee Maw go to jail or did she complete her community service? Why does Sheldon hate biology? Why did Mary on The Big Bang Theory say that they had a dog? Why did Mary tell the nuclear reactor story differently than how it happened? How come Leonard and Penny never made their voices heard on Young Sheldon? They were close to him than Howard was Did Missy quit baseball? Did Marcus actually cheat? We know George didn't. We also know Missy didn't see him cheating. The person who claimed to see that was her bully who she thinks is her BFF Heather M.

After watching Young Sheldon, I believe Paige surpasses Amy in every way and she is perfect for Sheldon. She was smart/genius like Sheldon (probably smarter), but with the personality of Penny or Missy (kinda), just more complex, messy and wit. They had complex relationship but especially great chemistry. In similarities they were close, in differences they could complement each other perfectly. Paige had the same as Penny and Amy but even more... beauty, intellect (genius), wit, sense of humor, wildness, high EQ and empathy, yet lonely, friendless, etc. That's why I'm annoyed that YS is a prequel, I'd prefer it to be a standalone show that went its own way. With changes and development that would match it (unfortunately, Paige's character was created after the end of TBBT).

It is kind of sad how after George died the entire family was in chaos George was just a guy trying to provide for and keep his family together and after he died Mary fell into despair while Sheldon moved away to Pasadena to cope with the pain he distanced himself from the family and here MsMojo said that Missy was helpful but that is not true Missy was filled in anger and just like Georgie said Missy was a mess he was left alone to hold the family together and he never contacted Sheldon since he was angry at him for leaving the entire family for Caltech

If we were to follow the family pattern, each of the siblings have impresses talents that are balanced out by being blind in other areas of their lives. Missy character should have life history of great successes and failures, with more successes than failures.

I’m convinced that they didn’t know what to do with “Paige” because not only did she stop appearing on the show, but they put her into a downward spiral with potential to recover after her parents got divorced, but decided to play into the downward spiral and just left it at that and maybe they did have an idea and it was scheduling with the actress, McKenna Grace that caused them not to be able to film the resolution of what they could’ve done with the character, but her character had been spiraling downhill for a good while and I don’t really see where it was supposed to be going, especially with the fact that a certain point now watching a 14-year-old at a college fraternity party getting drunk.

I wish but... 1. They were just kids (their characters were 12 years old and the actors were about the same age... so it's kind of obvious that they couldn't kiss). 2. In TBBT it has been stated that Sheldon has never kissed any girl. There was obvious chemistry and a great dynamic between Paige and Sheldon. If they kissed, it would probably develop into a relationship or something deeper. And that would be too inconsistent with TBBT and the character of the robotic, unempathetic Sheldon.

I think some of those questions stem form the rushed ending of >Young Shelding. Similar to TBBT, the last season seemd like they went through a checklist of the all the necessary stuff they still need to get through, to get it over with because you got something new going on and want to focus on that. I don't think we will see someone like Tam or the two doctors again, because their only connection is to Sheldon and not Georgie and Mandy. For the others, might be. Paige might be if the writers want to delve into Missys story some more, but I wouldn't bet on that.

I feel like there has to be a reason Sheldon never mentioned Paige as an adult. Namely the fact that she was said to be in a "bad way" at the end of the series sounds like she was going through a pretty serious depression. At that point, it's not hard to assume that Paige took her own life and that's why Sheldon never mentioned her as an adult (because the memories were too painful).

To answer the question about Veronica it was due to scheduling conflicts as she was also starring on Alexa and Katie at the time. If she hadn't been Georgie would have had his baby with her instead of Mandy. You can google this. I liked Veronica as well, but unfortunately it didn't work out and her character was scrapped. Also I believe when your dad dies and your family is mourning you don't just pick up and leave. I get why Georigie would be upset at Sheldon, afterall many of the problems his famly had were because of Sheldon and Mary. Being a fresh adult with a baby, mourning mom and sister would take it's toll.

10) I was leaning towards Sheldon assumed Tam would move with him. SOMEWHERE I saw discussion of this and one suggestion is that Sheldon is so self involved he didn't notice anything Tam said, or that Tam never took part in the California part of the conversation. 9) (Heh, I have that everybody-bearded episode of BBT airing right now, muted on the TV as I watch this video) I KNOW somewhere Sheldon said he was pre-writing his memoirs, getting it all out while he can, that he expected to get too busy or had trouble finding time between raising his kids. This feels DEFINITELY in that season finale where Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik have actual screen time and not just voiceover work. 2) Georgie said 10 years. This was roughly Season 10, meaning they last spoke either just before the show started or not long after (Might be a year or two before and he's just rounding down). Meaning the non-speaking-terms started while Sheldon and Leonard were living together - they were already living together for several years when the show began - Sheldon established at CalTech, etc. I mean, the DIFFICULTY probably started around when Mary and Missy had roughly recovered, AFTER Georgie did all of the supporting he spoke of in that episode of BBT, then things deteriorated from there (maybe Georgie blasted him, told him off, and Sheldon took offence). Probably Sheldon was quite self-involved as a student at CalTech, completely dove into life there, and never reached out, see how everyone is doing, sending emotional support, whatever, and Georgie felt on his own handling things, when cold emotionless Sheldon clearly coped easier/better/quicker and was stable enough to help out in some way if it had occurred to him. 1) And why I clicked, obviously, LOL! McKenna was JUST so fantastic as Paige, moreso with each appearance, and she SO should have had an ending, she was so captivating! The stolen truck episode was NOTHING, that was all about Missy running away, Paige was just along for the ride, no real character development/resolution there at all! The showrunners were wrong, she had ZERO resolution! As it is I found it atrocious that they didn't put a Paige in Big Bang Theory before it ended like they did with Tam, HER appearance would have been FAR more interesting. Plus her seeming smarter - and being MUCH more grounded as a normal person - would make it super obvious to everyone why Sheldon never mentioned HER, and they could have had fun with that, too. :) What most struck me was when she was a visiting "professor"/presenter, and sought out Sheldon because she was lonely and lost. McKenna portrayed that beautifully, including her unspoken reactions, like finding out Sheldon's neighbours were friendly and invited him over to hang out. You could FEEL the disappointment in her face that she felt more alone than ever, the social know-nothing Sheldon had friends while she didn't. I'm sure they couldn't get McKenna Grace more permanently, but it seemed like a gimme that she should have transferred to East Texas Tech. They tried to recruit her once, now with some university success they'd want her more, and changing schools should have seemed extremely appealing: Continue her university education while having ONE familiar face. A little hanging out with Sheldon she could have befriended some of the people SHE was friendly with. Plus with how much better the staff treated him, she clearly wouldn't have had the Prize Puppy treatment she got at HER university. Win-win all around! (Except her old school for losing her, and they deserve to for neglecting her, using her and not truly utilizing and embracing her).

If Mckenna Grace wasn't busy with Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, I guarantee you that they would've had a satisfying closure for Paige. Not seeing her in the final season was the biggest gut punch I've personally experienced from a tv show. Hopefully, this can be addressed in an episode of the upcoming series Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, or a possible revival of The Big Bang Theory. The latter might not happen for at least another ten to fifteen years if ever, but I would do anything to see an adult Paige unite with an adult Sheldon.

Part of me thinks that Paige is a figment of Sheldon’s imagination. Something he felt was necessary for his memoir to show how he had some competition with someone of the same age. The other part of me thinks Paige is real and due to Sheldon’s nature, he didn’t want to think about the bad she went through and suppressed those memories. Hence why she was never mentioned in The Big Bang Theory.

She is working at The Bing for Silvio to pay off her drug debts. She ends up in a Federal prison after an FBI raid on the Bing. It can either get better or worse for her from there, you decide.

Georgie and Mandy’s 1st marriage doesn’t show Georgie taking care of his mom and Missy like he says in TBBT. It’s timed right after George died (which we know from Young Sheldon is when Sheldon goes to caltech) and he moved into his in laws trying to make a living for him and his new family. This latest spinoff doesn’t take that storyline into account.

I think its just hard for the writters to tie everything together due to the times in which young sheldon was filmed and how far tbbt was at the point. In real life, these things happen. I had a best friend in primary school, everyday we would hang out. When we both went to different secondary schools, communication stopped. Those days we had no internet etc. never saw him again. People grow apart as they grow. As sheldon got older, other people played bigger parts in his life.

The only unanswered question that bothers me is Raj. I would have loved it if Amy said something like "And Missy & Raj are saving us a seat at the game. And they're bringing the twins!" That ties together the early episode where Missy says to Raj "Hi cutie-pie, I was hopin' you'd show up" and then later when Raj is driving Missy & Mary from the airport, and Missy says she is separated, Raj says "...You don't say?".

I don't recall her on Mom or Two Broke Girls, though. Chuck seems to repeatedly use actors across his various series for one-off type roles that I assume he likes or are easy to work with. Nothing wrong with that.

I think that in Young Sheldon Sheldon is the one who tells the story- he remembers and tells the past like it should have been- his father a great father, not like in TBBT was said, his Meemaw way cooler, Paige doesn’t exist in real life, he just wished another kid like him would exist, Billy was just stupid but didn’t bully him, they had no dog liketold in TBBT once and much more- all in all his childhood wasn’t perfect but he grew up in a loving home - but in reality things weren’t like that
