Ginger spice was my favorite. There were so many rumors that I heard when they broke up that I'm not even sure what the truth is. One was that Geri was in a relationship with Mel B. another was that Ginger spice had a huge fight with baby spice because I think it was said baby spice was sleeping with one of the higher-ups or something I don't know.

None of them should have been subjected to that regardless if they what their orientation is as it’s none of anyones business unless they disclose it. And oh yes, Victoria is a diva because she decided that she wanted to focus on the career she had moved into and not be forced into doing something she didn’t want to anymore/at the moment. The same old sexist idea that if a woman puts her own wants first - she is selfish and as you put it a ‘diva’. She doesn’t have to rejoin them if that’s not right for her, it’s her life and she at the moment doesn’t want to perform. She gave her full support for them to go on without her, she’s even designed outfits for the girls for their own solo adventures. The girls themselves have fully supported her decision to not rejoin and even understood why. They’ve even said if she wants to rejoin them at any point she is always welcome back. That’s women supporting women. She is actually still involved with the Spice Girls projects and ideas such as the anniversary stuff and many things are still a decision between all 5. She just didn’t want to perform anymore and that doesn’t make her a diva, that makes her a strong woman who’s able to make the right choice for herself, despite what negativity she may receive and attempts to tarnish her image. That is a positive example for other women as we are bought up being afraid to make those kinds of choices because we will be seen as a bitch. So no, she’s not been a diva, never has been and those who know her have always said she is humble and down to earth.

She took a page out of the Hwayoung of T-ARA handbook, because she was thought to be bullied by her band members (she was added a year or two after their debut), but the staff on more than one occasion (I definitely know after an appearance in some talk show in a cab in 2017) said she wasn’t only difficult, but pretended to be injured and sat out a Japanese concert, which her bandmates had to fix the choreography from 7 formation to six (the original group lineup number). But nothing really popped off until later on Twitter, the members threw shade and Hwayoung‘s sister (who was a member of T-ARA’s sister group and one half of a coed group called Coed School) basically popped off back at them. But, because of the company not really dealing with the drama and just kicking Hwayoung out, basically ruined the groups reputation. Like I know one of the members was an actress (she still might be), in which she was removed from a tv show. Honestly, it’s very similar, but just ironically different, because Mina quit and seemed to not have others know if the issues while Hwayoung‘s butt was booted and the staff was never going to let her lie her way out. But it really sucks, because T-ARA and AOA were really talented and shouldn’t have had to deal with selfish like that.

In the course of like 10 years, they replaced all founding members one by one (first one left because she felt weird and later claimed she was bullied, second one left because she had a daughter and thought she could be much bigger solo (which she wasn't)). But the one that stirred up the most Drama by far was when the two replacements sided with each other and have the last founding member be kicked out, painting her as a bully and all that nasty stuff. The original trio then reformed, but over 10 years legal issues with the name followed, until they finally got it back... They are now releasing music together again as Sugababes. Really much drama was going on there, so much that it's impossible to cover all in one comment 😆

if you included AOA, definitely should have included T-ARA as well! one member accused the other girls of bullying/kicking her out the group which resulted in the group's popularity to plummet (they were on the same level as snsd and kara before the scandal) and then it was discovered that she lied about the whole thing, T-ARA never got back to the level of fame they once had unfortunately. also, jessica leaving snsd was a big scandal because she had started her own fashion brand so was busy with both that and her singing career and because of conflicting schedules she was told that she couldn't do both and was removed from the group. because of the strict contracts kpop idols have the other members weren't allowed to say their side of the story so they got a lot of backlash for not sticking up for jessica. it's been 9 years since that happened and both jess and snsd are still doing well in their careers.

Little mix are the ultimate girl group I can’t think of another group that stayed together consecutively for 10 plus years, on top of that they’re friendship is really and has always shown it’s why they became popular quite quickly cause there down to earth girls with great personalities to add then they’re super protective and supportive to one another then lastly add their talent, they’re by far the most cohesive & talented girlgroup the UK has produced thus far and I’m including all aspects sing/harmonise/write etc but also perform and actually perform girl-groups prior couldn’t match what little mix can/have done.

Cause if so then i agree with you, their harmonies and vocal performance in overall is better than most girl groups in the generation due to their knowledgement of harmonies and how to blend even though there is still some girl groups over there with the same level as LM when it comes to harmonies like 4th impact(filipino girl group) or Flo and the vocal abilities of the members separately are not close to the best maybe Perrie can come a bit close to many great vocalists from girl groups like Hyolyn (Sistar), Luna (F(x)), Wendy (Red Velvet), Solar (Mamamoo), Ally (Fifth Harmony), Taeyeon (Girls' Generation) a group that is still active after 15 years of their debut, even some vocalists of the new generation of K-pop are on the same level with Perrie's vocal output, i respect your opinion but saying that LM is the best girl group of the new generation in all aspects is completely wrong.

As a biggest fan of both girl groups I just wanted to say this: fifth harmony and little mix were 2 of the best girl groups of this generation and now that both groups have been going on hiatus one group longer than the other I just wanted to say thank you 5H and LM for all the music you given us over the years and I just wanted to wish both girl groups good luck on their solo careers even though little mix hasn't been on hiatus for so long unlike 5H and I am also glad that all 5 members are still good friends to this day so hopefully all 5 girls will get back together for a reunion in the future.

it's funny how straight after talking about Destiny's Child, the next clip for the Diana Ross part was of the Dream Girls movie, which not only starred Beyonce, but also has a deeper tie-in with Destiny's Child. While the movie is loosely based on The Supremes, Beyonce's involvement as the Diana Ross counterpart mirrored her real life career with Destiny's Child. With DC, Beyonce was always front-and-center and even if they did manage to balance out the recording time for the 3 girls equally, Beyonce still got most of the attention regardless of whether she liked it or not. Sure she is a supremely (see what i did there) talented woman and she did try her best to give as much credit as possible to Kelly and Michelle. But in the end, just like Diana, Beyonce's talents outshone her co-members' by flying colours and she has had by far the most successful career of the 3 of them.

She could learn parts quicker and easier. It was her decision with the vocal coach of the David Brewer. She was initially co-leading with Ashley Tamar who was 2 years older than her but she couldn't her part in the studio and when they asked Beyoncé do to it she knock it out the park and that was it 🤷🏾‍♂️

I am big little mix fan, I loved that they were a strong group of ordinary girls who stood up for equality and for women everywhere, but when Jesy left and started the blackfishing, it was a big disappointment. I wish Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie all the best and hope Jesy recognises what she has done and seems to still be doing with the blackfishing is wrong. I live in the UK and is a trend a lot of young girls are doing. Spice girls should have been at No 1. They were the biggest girl group of all time and dominated the 2nd half of the 90’s. When they split EVERYONE including people who didn’t necessarily listen to them were shocked. There’s also some underlying reasons as to why Geri left which involves her and Mel B. Nothing confirmed or anything but there were rumours that they were lovers and when Mel B got engaged the rift between the 2 girls were inevitable.

It should be noted with AOA that Dispatch (A Korean entertainment news website) latter released chat logs showing that Mina and Jimin seemingly had a more cordial relationship than what Mina had oeginaly presented it as. Also Jimin is due to make a comeback this month.

Not sure if any of you seen the documentary series 'Spector' (which in the US is shown on Showtime), but one moment worth mentioning is the time when songs were re-recorded by a female group based on the other end of the United States, and the female member, based in one end of the US did not know about it until it was broadcast on the radio, worth a watch.

Yeah well, I know this is mostly american influenced, buuuut.... The drama surrounding the Sugababes was MASSIVE! There was so much going on all the time with that Band, it almost overshadowed their really, really great music. They have been mostly big in the UK and Europe though and failed to break america (ironically, they intended to do that right before their last line up change, and then it just never happened). They were always 3 girls, but in the span of their career (around 10 years at that point), they managed to switch out all of their founding members one at a time. The last line up change was heavily controversial, as they decided to kick out the last remaining founding member and claim she was a bully... Then the original trio reformed, but it took them another 10 years to legally re-claim Re band name. They are currently building up some tracktion again, and might even release new music. A band with very good music and a really interesting backstory! Oh, and they almost always wrote their own music!

Well. Siobhan and Mutya both left on their own, they were not kicked out like Keisha was. But yes, they left because they were unhappy with the circumstances. I guess if Mutya hadn't left after Taller, she surely would have left after Change... I can't imagine her liking the stuff they did back then, when she already was on the fence about the stuff on Taller 😄 (though I still believe a big reason why Mutya left was because she thought she could be a massive solo star, even though she claims it was because of her daughter... The timing was just off imo).

For 3LW, I thought it was going to be about when they booted one of their members fror not being "ghetto" enough, having grown up in a two -parent household. For TLC, there was one instance in which Left Eye wasn't getting along with her bandmates and refused to appear alongside them for a scheduled appearance on MTV's daily music video countdown Total Request Live (they covered it by saying she was sick). One omission was T.A.T.u, a Russian duo who in order to generate publicity, pretended to be gay and in love with each other.

Honestly, I would've put Danity Kane on the list over the K-Pop group AOA. Danity Kane were pretty successful (2 #1 albums, 3 million records sold, sold-out tours) but they were plagued by bad management (including awful 360 contracts which made them little to no money) and all of it headed by Puffy & his ego. It was all filmed on MTV's "Making the Band", where Puffy ended up firing Aubrey & D. Woods from the group and soon Dawn was the only one left standing. They reunited a couple of times since then but more drama ensued, including a physical fight with Dawn and Aubrey. If you ask me, they could've been as big as Destiny's Child and TLC were but it wasn't meant to be.

I personally don’t know why Girls’ Generation wasn’t on her, because Jessica Jung (who went on to write a book series about K-Pop) was removed from the group in 2014. And unlike Mina of AOA (who was found out to be lying, similar to Hwayoung of T-ARA, both ruining the legacy and reputations of each group and their members), Jessica being put out isn’t really know why. Jessica said she was forced out of the group, in which her label, SM Entertainment said, I think, that she was removed for not focusing on the group and that her members voted to boot her out. Which I would agree with, if not just a few months before, also a SM girl group, f(x) (who also happened to have Jessica’s younger sister, Krystal) had a member named Sulli take a surprise hiatus (it was due to relationship drama that fans harassed her about) during promotions than also ended right after. Jessica at the same time she was booted was starting up her own company (not music), but they weren’t promoting at that moment and she planned to comeback with them, but the company could also have just put her on hiatus as well. And recently, Loona, another K-Pop group, had member Chuu booted from her group by the company, done very similarly, with allegations of diva behavior and mistreating staff, but nothing besides the company saying it has been proven. There is also TVXQ (formerly DBSK, who were also under SM) had three members leave the group, due to the fact I think two members were treated better and maybe had better pay and they had a 13 year contract. Then EXO also had 3 members (all chinese, part of the EXO-M lineup) left the company, due to injuries, no time off (both of those happening in DBSK as well), lack of promotions on their groups end and other issues, which I think was said to be due to them being Chinese (actually, having 4 original Chinese members, the last one left the company in 2022, which he still could be in the group (which f(x) basically is as well, none apart of the company, but they say they are still in their group; S.M. doesn’t disband groups, just puts them on hiatus). But I do know that two of the members who left EXO would have to pay SM if they preformed in Korea and Japan, while the 3rd couldn’t get out of his contract. And then many other groups like 2NE1, 4MINUTE, and many others have been disbanded and mistreated by companies that should have treated their cash cows with more respect.
