This song saved me once. On the day that I was the lowest I've ever been in my life. I was walking down the street trying to figure out how to make a way. A guy walking behind me just started singing this... LOUD. Out of nowhere he was behind me singing my favorite song and I knew that was a sign. To this day I don't remember what problem i was facing that day (it was over 30 years ago). All I remember was that guys beautiful voice behind me.

As with many couples this was our wedding song almost 37 years ago. My wife left us way too soon and when she did she took half of my heart. The pain is so strong that it brings me to my knees, but hearing this song takes me back to the day that we swayed on the dance floor telling each other that we did it. Married on July 5, 1986. I miss you my Wife, Friend and Lover.

You all want believe me when I tell you all this. I was sleeping in the mist of 3 am this morning and this song ribbon in the sky was playing in my head over and over. I got up to find it and the message is very clear to me as to what our Heavenly Father is speaking about and that my prayers have been answered. He's our ribbon in the sky especially of the things so many are facing today. Every day look to the skies and see his ribbons all across the world. It's His Love for all of us. We can't lose with him by our side as his hands touches our hearts, soul, and mind to guide us another day, hour, minute. He's the great I am always! May all of you be blessed, and be a blessing and a ribbon for someone today. Peace, Love, and Light!

I lost my husband in 1999 even though our song was supposed to be I want to thank you heavenly Father this song makes me think of him as well. We were supposed to have a big wedding but he didn't want to take a chance of being in the hospital since he spent so much time in and out of the hospital so we ended up eloping at the courthouse. God only blessed us with 7 years together but I feel blessed even though just a short time but what if I never had him in my life at all. Those 7 years meant the world

My mother dedicated this song to me when I was born. She would sing it to me all the time. It meant the world to me that I was able to sing it at her bed side as she passed away. She loved my singing voice even though I hated it lol. This song was constantly played during the time of her passing away and I was pregnant with my son. I now play the song for him when he's extremely tired and fighting his sleep and it calms him down and helps him sleep. Sometimes I think it's her telling him not to give me a hard time. Lol I love that woman. Rip Queen

My wife gifted this song to me 30 yrs. ago. I cried, because every one knows I love to sing and how much music means to me. But Gail is the only one who thought to gift me this special way. Ribbons, is truly beautiful & Heart Felt. These special ribbons bind our hearts & souls together forever... Thank you Mr. Wonder!!! We've shared 27 years living life thru thick & thin and have grown to the point we care for one another over ourselves.

I grew up listening to this amazing man as he was my dads idol, also became mine, I got married a couple of weeks ago to this song, I didn't tell my dad what song I had chosen and when he heard it start up as we went to walk down the Isle I had to give him a minute to get it together, my wedding day was about myself becoming a wife but this song meant so much more as my dad gave me awY.

There’s an Asian myth that soulmates are tied by a red thread/ribbon (of fate) and destined to be together regardless of place or circumstance- they will always be connected and eventually find each other. I always thought that’s what he was referring to. LOL.

I met and married the love of my life at 18 and this was our song. We divorced when he went to prison. He found me when I got out but I was married with 2 children. Igot divorced and we met up again but HE was married. Now we are together and it's the BEST feeling. Certainly seems like we were definitely connected and destined to be. Now I'm 45 and he's 51.

Oh, so long for this night I've prayed That a star would guide you my way To share with me this special day Well, a ribbon's in the sky for our love If allowed, may I touch your hand And if pleased, may I once again So that you too will understand That there's a ribbon in the sky for our love This is not a coincidence And far more than a lucky chance But what it is that was always meant Is our ribbon in the sky for our love, love We can't lose with God on our side We'll find strength in each tear we cry From now on, it will be you and I And our ribbon in the sky, ribbon in the sky Ribbon in the sky for our love There, there's a ribbon in the sky There's a ribbon in the sky There's a ribbon in the sky A ribbon in the sky There's a ribbon in the sky There's a ribbon in the sky There's a ribbon in the sky There's a ribbon in the sky for our love Ribbon in the sky for our love

This song will always be dedicated to my Uncle. He passed away so young back in January 2008 and this Stevie Wonder track was the one he requested to have played just in case he passed. I can still remember the day of his funeral on what was kind of a rainy day and my cousins played it for him before the whole ceremony was over. Such a vivid memory I can remember very clear as if it was a few years ago. R.I.P. Uncle Trini You're forever missed
