The media reluctantly covered the first assassination attempt. They were almost ignoring it, until they were shamed into giving it the coverage it merited, but only because 1 man was killed and two people seriously injured. Even then, their attitude was "Oh they are Trump supporters, they deserve whatever they get". It was all a big yawn to them. The View even treated it like a joke. Some of the media were actually proud of the fact that they had no interest in learning Corey Comperatore's name and sneeringly described a man giving his own life to protect his family as a MAGA chump who got what was coming to him. This second assassination attempt barely moved the needle on the legacy media's coverage. Lester Holt said dismissively that Trump brought it upon himself and moved on to something else. They believe that their progressive ideology is irrefutable. They believe it so much that they think conservative opinions have no value or even any validity. It's not just Trump they hate, it is every conservative. We are called deplorables, irredeemables, etc. If any candidate in an election has had attempts on their life, it is by definition a threat to democracy. If they are making jokes about it, or dismissing it, they do not care at all about democracy. They just want to enforce their opinions on everyone by any means, fair or otherwise. Which is exactly what is happening right before our eyes. Vote as if your life depends on it in the 2024 elections, because it actually does. Not just for President, but for the Senate and the House as well. If the Democrats get in they will add two new states, abolish the filibuster, stack the Supreme Court (and maybe put term limits) and complete the process of filling the judiciary with activists who believe they have the right to reinterpret any law as they see fit. They will give the vote to illegal arrivals (the undocumented, as they call them). Only citizens, people who have a stake in the country, should vote. Otherwise you get the Democrats opening the door to tens of millions and bribing them with free phones, free stuff of all kinds - medical, housing, transportation, you name it. You can get a drivers license even if you can't drive! US citizens are pushed to the back of the queue in every respect. Officially the unexpected arrivals can't yet vote, but even so, 14% of "undocumented arrivals" in Georgia have been registered to vote. It's a mystery, it shouldn't happen, we have no idea, but by golly it did happen. Gosh darn it, how did that ever happen? Congress makes laws, courts uphold them (regardless of their own views) and Presidents govern according to those laws. If you like that system, and you should, vote Trump because that remarkable system is vanishing as we speak. RFK Jr is endorsing Trump. Tulsi Gabbard is endorsing Trump. Both are honorable and courageous people who reject the authoritarian direction of their former party.
