My theory is that Costello told him he could create a circus--and that is what the orange buffoon wanted before HE would testify. But the judge showed "No circus here" and only THEN did he finally decide to take the Fifth. By the way, I don't think the good lawyer was in on this scam. I bet it was Costello's idea.

The defense had no documentation and one lousy witness.
@macofalltrades6396
@macofalltrades6396 4 ай бұрын
The real disaster of Costello's testimony is twofold: first, his behavior was bad enough that it prompted the judge to clear the courtroom for the purpose of reaming him out. There are two attorneys on the jury; it seems likely that when Costello's testimony is reviewed during deliberation, it won't be in a favorable light. Costello only succeeded in making Cohen look better, if only by comparison. More importantly - by failing to offer any reasonable counter to Cohen's testimony, the defense has ensured that his statements are not contested. Given the content of that testimony, this is a huge risk by Blanche et al. They seem to have fallen back on a defense that claims the prosecution has failed to make its case. Personally, I suspect that in the face of the documentary evidence coupled with the testimony throughout, Trump is likely to be found guilty on most or all of the charges against him. But it gets worse. The tactics used by the defense in admission of evidence were designed to bog down the trial. Unfortunately, those tactics are going to make it very difficult to appeal a guilty verdict.
