Your videos have seriously helped me and I've gotten better grades on my essays all thanks to you. Could you possibly make a video on how to study for the multiple-choice section?

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so glad that these videos are helping. Since I took the AP Lang exam in 2017, I believe the multiple-choice section has changed since then. Although I won't be able to make a full video about it, I would recommend doing all of the practice questions on the AP Lang Course and Exam Description (those helped me a lot when I self-studied!). Practice identifying the rhetorical situation while paying close attention to author's purpose in particular. Whenever you do practice questions, note down the types of questions you tend to get wrong the most and focus on those. That will really help on the questions that ask you to revise a passage.

Can we include all this information in the introduction of rhetorical analysis essay.
@MsPeerEditor4 жыл бұрын
Yes! What I like to do is first discuss the rhetorical situation in my introductory paragraph and integrate it into the rest of the essay. Try to connect your claims to the rhetorical situation throughout the body paragraphs.

@@MsPeerEditor You mention in your How to Ace the AP Language Argument Essay video to only keep the introductory paragraph 2-3 sentences and keep it about the prompt. How would we discuss the rhetorical situation in bulk then in the introductory paragraph? Edit: I mean are your 2-3 sentences simply composed of the rhetorical situation and then your thesis at the end?

@@gohankun118 You could write about the rhetorical situation briefly at the beginning and continue to discuss it throughout your essay! For example, you'll probably end up talking about the audience and purpose throughout.
