The fabric is not waterproof, but yes, it is very water resistant.

I’ve been wearing shoulder pads for 50 years riding off-road. Not sure this vest would be large enough to fit over them.

It's hard for us to say for sure but this is a large vest with a lot of adjustment in the straps.

Yea wish it was grey. Anytime i look at riding gear only cool colors for me. Surprised too, these RMatv crew are out west in the blazing sun. Black must be cheapest to manufacture
