My daughter is black. Thanks for your video. Dad has work to do with understanding this "breakage" and conditioning. Trying to help my baby girl feel her best so she knows how perfect God made her. She's wanting the same look as your hair, but it's more like a round, tight afro and I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to help her get this look.

Thank you! I'm so sorry I've been gone for so long but I will be back and in action next week with some videos; I need to do a video to share my products asap as they do play a huge role. Your daughter needs twist-outs if she desires a look similar to mine until you are able to master the wash and go look that I have in the video, it is very tricky to find the right products to achieve the look while keeping the hair from tangling and breaking too much. Check out my other videos on deep conditioning, and my twist out routine. Can you describe your daughters curls to me; are they very tight like mine or much loose? Also how thick is your little girls hair? By the way I think it is sooooo sweet to see a dad caring so much about his daughters hair and how she sees herself!!

Awesome video!! Can you please do a detangling video?! I am trying to develop my regimen. Also, I saw that you styled your hair on blown out hair in previous videos. How often do you blow it out? Do you ever do a braid/twist out on freshly washed hair or just a wash and go? Sorry for all the questions! Your hair is beautiful and an encouragement to me. God bless!

These are all good tips for the external care, but I like to speak to ppl from my personal experience where health is concerned. I suffer w hypothyroidism and iron deficiency anemia (double whammy), and it has done horrible things to both my skin and hair. Internal health is key to a good head of hair! With my new health care routines, I will be following along w your tips. Thanks! Xo

Jo Mendoza You are absolutely right! I will definitely cover the eternal aspect of hair growth and how health plays a huge role in the production and overall quality of your hair. I have suffered from hair loss due to insufficient vitamins and minerals in my body so I definitely empathize with your struggle. Thanks for sharing your insight!

Lol thank you lady for your since of humor. I made the mistake of coloring my hair for years, then texturizing. Now my hair really hates me. I’ve cut two inches and constantly do protein treatments. Nothing I do makes it stop breaking off, even a simple bun. I think I will consider your mini twist video and keep protective styling for a year, that way I can add moisture as I wear it. I’m just not ready for another big chop right now. What do you think?
@jprichardson96304 жыл бұрын
Merigold K. I hope your hair breakage problem has resolved by now, Sis. Too many protein treatments may have contributed to your hair breaking. You gots find a moisturize/protein balance.

Hi Ms Rachel Adina, I think my hair is in an abusive relationship with me. It was "popping" while I was combing it and I was like, "what is that sound" and just kept going. Smh....I need to be put in hair jail, just lock me and my comb up.
@elderberryjamz36547 жыл бұрын
My hair is the same length as yours and it's been there for over two years now. I wanna get to full waist-length but I get TIREDDDD of having to deal with MBL hair and start neglecting it, which ends in me having to trim the dead ends off and start over again at BSL. Like, today is wash day and I'm laying here watching KZbin instead of doing my damn hair. >____
@RachelAdina7 жыл бұрын
Elderberry Jamz I understand your pain, going natural is a beautiful thing but when we all go through our #done phase the best thing to do is to straighten it or get some braids; that has saved me from getting relaxers on so many occasions.

I am also from the caribbean. But my hair is do different from the normal people. I have low porosity thick hair that feels rough to the touch. If I for example wet my hair every day with a water based product it will start tp break off. Do you recommend me a oil based product? On top of that I got allergic to fragrances in products since three years ago, so I can't use all products. Wish you were living her in Holland. I would definitely visit you( if you allow me) to let you check my hair and give me some tips.
@RachelAdina7 жыл бұрын
It sounds like you need a good treatment or mask and you might need to put your hair away for a little while. I think you should used a water based product on your hair I like Paul Mitchell the conditioner and add a nice thick butter to it you can TGIN Butter Cream Daily Moisturizer or make a homemade whipped shea butter product or raw softened shea butter. Twist it up in some wearable twist and leave it for two to three weeks. I think this will strengthen your hair as it works for me when my hair is feeling fragile and breaking.
@RachelAdina7 жыл бұрын
It seems like you need a protein treatment as well try adding either an egg, mayo, or greek yogurt to your deep conditioner. if you don't want to do all that get the Aphogee Two Step Protein treatment; its cheap and the best ever.
@kfner237 жыл бұрын
As she mentioned, protein treatment (Hair mayonnaise/Aphogee two step) A more natural one I really like is 'Nothing But Intense Healing Mask', no parabens, colorants, etc.. It also sounds like you need a good trim (your ends might be damaged). Stick with LCO/LOC method. I also mix my OWN shea butter with different oils (virgin oil). I put that on after L (water). There are many ways to still keep up with your natural hair although you may not be able to use certain products! Go the more natural route.
