I am always excited when I see a new video from Tarnished Treasures!!! 😊 Those 2 gold rimmed glasses are so beautiful and unique !!! Oh my… that Decanter - it’s gorgeous and I have never seen one like it. I also love the little Victorian clip. Such interesting info re: the piece of jewellery that is a flapper head piece 🤩😍😊

Love collecting decanters! Can have so many uses for them. That spool is very cool! One time at goodwill I found 2 giant ones for 2.00 each!! I couldn’t believe it! I kept checking my cart to make sure no one took them, as so many ppl kept looking in my cart😂 You always find such neat treasures! ❤

Your area is just loaded with quality and sophisticated treasures. Must be an older historic and wealthy area with European influences. A port that brought items from afar. You have an eye for refinement. In Kentucky, the Ohio River provided river banks for prominent businessmen and river boat captains to build their mansions and fill them with the treasures from the port of New Orleans. My town, Bardstown, was known for the Monks providing an education to those willing to brave the trip up the Ohio and the long stagecoach ride from Louisville. Being the Bourbon capital of the world, we taught them a lot about fine spirits. Inebriated students were not uncommon. We are the earliest Catholic outpost for the Vatican east of the Rockies. We have the Abbey of Gethsemani and several Mother houses for the various orders of Nuns. Thomas Merton and Abe Lincoln were our famous residents. Happy treasure hunting.

@@TarnishedTreasures1 I was very fortunate to have been born in Kentucky with transplanted Ohio Scottish roots. They believed hard work and education was your wealth building. Your mind was the greatest treasure you are given. Ignorance would not be tolerated in their lineage going forward. Their draft horses were family. Can’t wait for the Kentucky story. You know that we have strong ties with Baltimore and horse racing history. I had strong feelings about the silver flask.

I’m always surprised that people can’t take a second and empty salt and pepper shakers. I don’t use the decorative ones either, just like them for displays. You find great things at the hospital sale.

I'm shocked you didn't get the monogrammed, gold rimmed plates and gravy boat AND the Mackenzie Child's teapot 🤯
@TarnishedTreasures123 күн бұрын
Well…😂. I liked the dish, so I’m considering it. It was actually only the gravy boat that was monogrammed. It was attached to the dish. It was an interesting piece. As for Mackenzie Childs. I won’t buy it. She makes you tube videos about how her name and brand were stolen. The people who took it hired an actor to act like her and give tiurs of her old house pretending to be her. They have basically stolen her identity. It’s awful. I won’t buy her stuff, even thrifted because I dont want to support the “new” company.

The silver used in Native American turquoise jewelry is not sterling, it's a specific silver blend and is not always marked. The lace is exquisite!
