In episode 912 Samuel R. Arkoff and James H. Nicholson are at it again, frightening the public with yet another rather inept production.
This time a newlywed woman is haunted by the ghost of her husbands' deceased wife.
Haunted may be stretching it a bit... she's more like kind of harassed slightly by a skull popping up in closets, knocking on doors and rolling unthreateningly around.
Actually, the true haunting of this movie is provided by Mike, the caretaker, by his walking aimlessly around, talking to the pottery, stealing Lilly pads from the pond, and grossing everybody out with his strange assortment of odours.
All of this is of course a ruse to take our attention away from the creepy husband and his plot to kill yet another wife in order to get his mitts on her inheritance.
One could argue that his refusal to sleep in the same bedroom as his wife, and the fact that he has the same emotional span as a lead pipe, might make one somewhat suspicious.
Rarely have the words "I love you" sounded more like asking someone to hand you a newspaper...
Anyway, justice prevails as the creepy husband, in a fit of uncharacteristic hysteria, decides to smother himself with a skull and throw himself in the pond.
The film is preceded by Robot Rumpus -- a Gumpy Adventure. This absolutely creepy claymation (featuring one of the most grating voices in movie history) works best as an early warning to all potentially rebellious robots of the future, and shouldn't be watched by the fainthearted or people with sensitive ears.
Look out for lifting tails, liquid metal, internal genitalia, the NBC peacock, rotating of hostages, a bi-locating character, Windows 58, an enlarged nostril, scary tuba music, a fresh roasted skull, a cross-dressing bee-keeper, the society for un-strangled wives, your colon on pork, a woman wearing a mans ear, the personal fertilizing of bushes, the normality and health of stalking your wife, Mary Taylor Moore, the squaring of breasts, the slink-skull, skull-toss remorse, and lots of flat, drab passion.
Enjoy!
