Yes…if everyone knows how to counter Centurion, then the strategy will fail to top, drive the price of the cards into the ground, and allow me to pick up the deck core for $6😈

It won't. It's the only appealing archetype for an otherwise value-lacking deck builder set. Then there's already support for the Centur-Ion lined up for the 1st QTR of next year. No mention of support for Vaal or Memento.

Ghost Ogre / Cosmic Cyclone have won me literally every game so far. Having any response to stand ups quick synchro effect makes it miss timing apparently as well. Psa: I can’t be the only one who noticed this as well but Primera is light and Legatia is Primera which retains light. Trudea is dark next wave of support will almost certainly have a lv12 dark synchro. I got to thinking about this moreover because we got both honest in this set and they made it apparent by making them exclusively the ONLY NON in archetype CR in the set. Legatia says monsters with 2k and under atk cannot be destroyed by battle Here’s to hoping dark synchro says monsters under 2k cannot be targeted because then having both synchro and a Primera in s/t zone means your whole deck is towers

So if trudea is stuck in the spell and trap zone, and it’s my opponent’s next main phase can they they still activate Trudeas effect to set another monster? or is it only the ability that specials summons itself that triggers? Sorry this archetype confuses me..

I think even if they have a timing weakness they are still to good because open gamestates happen so fast and if that happens and you have no quick effect then centur-Ion can pop off and lock the rest of your turn.

surprised you didn't bring up imperm on Legatia (kills crimson dragon play unless they have exactly Emblema) for the pure builds I'm really not sure if Horus will be standard, makes the deck significantly weaker to ash where it otherwise can live with the card

If trudea activates and summons itself from spell and trap it can be a level 8. If you attempt to activate the effect when it hits board as a monster ( after being moved from s/t) it will stay level 8 regardless. If you imperm them you only stopping emeth and that’s if the don’t have another way to get it because there is a few

It depends Mr. TOM on what centurion variant deck the player is playing. Ex Centurion Superheavy Therion. I think is alot more consistent with less committing because of the imsety. Yes the 2 cards that are more " active" will be nibiru and droll. But if don't get drolled ull have 5th summon Therion Regulus if get drolled go the barone line up. All the freaking time + engine. I tried the horus the only thing that I have is a number 90 on the third summon but committed really hard and exposed to an easy ash droll . Both are good variants but the superhavy you have more options and consistently thru rank4 Pyro BANSHEE TO SEARCH trudea. And rank 4 plays.

anti-spell only works on spells, it's literally in the name, it'd hinder the field spell tho

I love Ogre against the deck! I think book of moon may be better to just flip the tuner face down and not have to worry about Ash, but i completely missed that Super Poly and Spellbound outs the board when i was thinking of counters lol Great video as always! 😁

It doesn’t shifter can be played through because they place from deck to board in most cases. All you’re doing is making them commit to their play. Which is the same for nearly every other deck under shifter .

@@Awesombynature but if there playing the Horus package they will not have there materials because they will be banished already and will not be able to Synchro summon or XYZ. Also when they commit to the summon for centrion package most of there monster will be banish too and the monster that where used as material will not be able to be place in the back row.

Question can evenly or lighting storm would work agains this deck? Maybe lava golem?

Evenly: Calamity is made during MP1, so thus is only useful if you've already stopped that play Storm: they chain the "traps" effects to summon back as monsters, and the field spell can't be destroyed if they have centurion monster cards. This could work on monsters but only if they leave their synchro in attack pos. Lava Golem: potentially strong against the horus variant, the pure version ends on 1 monster and will make calamity before you can golem. It can potentially cut them off from follow-up/ an easy OTK the following turn.

What about a regular kaiju tho? They only tribute a single monster, so you could get rid of Crimson Dragon before it gets to tag out. Not 100% on the timings tho.

@@shhhhht8140 A kaiju works. As long as you tribute the Legatia as your first move in MP1 they can't Crimson/Calamity you, though they can still make a second legatia to pop and draw. For my money cosmic cyclone on the field spell during draw phase does the most damage to their gameplan.

@@KatsuAquarius Might play some Bystials for that reason, banish their monsters from the grave after they synchro summon during their own turn, then Kaiju them if I draw into one. Probably not a concrete plan, but it's funny.

No shoutouts to Kaiju? Ive played a couple online and Ive Kaiju then and they just didnt do anything afterwards, and I was not even targetting this deck. I just knew they did the turn skip, so I slapped a Kaiju on the lvl 12 syncro they leave on the field.

We already killed the other match ups in ultimate counter guide, albeit not at in-depth as this. I mean we go timing which opens up some decks own in engine outs rather than techs. If I owned the cards I’d demo the plays and mind games you can do with the deck.

I agree with Tom, this video goes in depth on the timing which actually helps Centur-ion players like me understand it better and know how to play a little smarter. It might feel like a lose situation but people are gonna learn the choke points anyways. This content is good for the whole community!

@@BashtianYgo honestly the deck has many hurdles to get to calamity so if you actually get there then you deserve it. Just imperm crimson and go. I like the deck because it’s straightforward and doesn’t make the opponent wait 10+ minutes to make a board. Yugioh would have more of a player base if they didn’t make the game so complicated.

Runick stun/labryth /chimera/ super poly/unchained/etc.... deck/cards that can play through calamities... when you give out information you give out 100% of it... dont cut the card short to assume there nothing you can do... knowing the fact that your turn is not completely done can xhange game state

Yeah Tom just kill these decks. :) Personally i dont care since im gifted with a brain and can think of those outs by myself. But in general it is good content and i love it when zoxic decks get shut down. Looking at calamity as the culprit. I like centurion as a theme. A bit sad for red dragon archfiend loosing him soon though.
