I love how much flexibility orcust decks can have with their extra deck. Yes you kinda need a lot of the essential cards for the combo but like scrap and Lib, but the deck gives you plenty of options with Xyz, links, and synchro. Like you could use halqifibrax to get to orcust cards. You could add borreload savage or use the crystron eff to synchro on opponents turn and also you’ve got level 8s and possibly level 3s and 4s depending on what extenders you run (like the phantom knight trap for time thief redoer 💪🏻) Overall glad they didn’t merc the deck and it shows it’s resiliency as a good archetype.

You can also just use scrap recycler with Jet Synchron to make a Borreload Sabage as well if you have Olion in hand. because at some point on the field you will have A JeT synchton and Orcust Knightmare on the field at the same time which is the perfect opportunity to Synchro it AND you would have used union carrier to attach a Cymbal Skeleton, which then allows for Skeleton to revive on a Orcust so you can still continue to make Orcust plays.

I really love those kind of in-depth specific deck videos, first cards list, then combos, only one thing I’d like to suggest: when explaining combos and strengths, why don’t even show weaknesses and how to stop it? It would be very complete in-deep video, maybe the most complete one in the whole tube! Keep in mind, since nobody makes videos like you! Think of it: list, combos, strengths, weaknesses and how to stop for each deck! Simple the best!

I personally run mekk-knight morning star. He lets you search the succession. And than use lib to search another world legacy card. I run the trap that lets you link summon on your opponents turn. Than you link away lib to spin back a card on your opponents turn. Usually I shot gun it if my opponent uses their normal summon. That way they can't really summon again unless they have special summons or pend summons. Lol it basically ends their turn. But that kind of requires a bigger mekk-knight engine in order to pull it off consistently.

Tested this (with some adjustments) as soon as I saw the video and love it. Such a fun strategy which is actually fairly strong vs decks like eldlich. The problem is that, currently, adamancipator is a better deck in almost every department. The deck is fun but won't enter the meta (imo) cause adamancipator is just so unfair

I don't know how much you watched of the ppg event this weekend but god adamancipator was unfair. Through three hand traps, they were ending on borrelsavage, domain lock and dweller. Remove the hand traps and apollousa joins the board, alongside ip and block dragon. This deck is good but it can only dream of the power, consistency and resilience through hand traps which the adamancipator deck currently has to offer. In every other format, though, this would probably be a strong meta contender but I just don't see the reason to olay this deck over adamancipator. As I said previously, though, it's so much fun to play so thanks for the video as I wasn't aware of the decks existence before. keep up the great content!

Adamancipators are pretty busted. Personally, i think eldlich is stronger overall, and I'll admit it. I didnt give either deck that much credit when they were first announced. I never was a big fan of orcust decks. Im a dragon link player (insert tombox 3-axis dragon link shout out here), but it would be interesting if orcust could worm its way to the meta game, maybe tier 2 at the highest?

@@warriorofgod2700 With regards to eldlich, I don't think the deck is as good right now for a plethora of reasons. Firstly, I would suggest that (if both players don't brick), the eldlich player loses 100 percent of games going second and won't in 100 percent going first. Both decks are fairly consistent so this is not an issue. Secondly, eldlich (especially pure but in variants as well) just doesn't do enough imo. Their grind game is good enough to seal the win vs most other decks but adamancipator is just too powerful right now. The combo version is a bit better but, even then, you aren't ever that scared of an eldlich deck until you are going into turn 3 and 4 where you have nothing left in your deck. Block dragon means that adamancipator can keep generating enough advantage to win before that turn arrives. This is just my opinion having watched the ppg events. This is the other reason I don't think orcust will reach tier 2. The deck doesn't do enough vs eldlich as it is (imo). IP is easy to remove with a single golden lord and the rest of the board is not much of a threat. You also won't outgrind an eldlich deck. This is where the mekk orcust is slightly better (imo) cause the purple increases the grind game and you can blind second and look to otk, helped with equalisers like lightning storm. Even then, if you can't deal with the two decks that are taking 90 percent of top cut slots (maybe a slight exaggeration but...) I just don't see how you get a look in in this meta game. In the future, though, I think it is certainly possible that orcust can move ahead. Assuming cards like destruction sword get banned and the other decks are toned down a bit, on release of dragun (I hate this card, it is so oppressive and basically beats eldlich), orcust can add that to its end board, using the same combos but going into verte instead of carrier (it is dark after all). Still, we shall see.

@@adambe1126 i always forget that dragoon is coming mainly because i dont follow ocg as much. If i use anaconda, i usually try to cheta a winda out on a cherubini arrow so it wont die on turn one, or the neos fusion brickfest with rainbow neos. In regards to the other topic, i face more eldlich decks than i do adamancipators, so my statement was a bit biased towards the area i play in (i dont play online very often).

Personally, I think if you are going to play 3 Purple and 3 Blue, but only 1 Indigo, cut a copy of Blue and start playing Red instead just so it reduces bricks and gives you an extra extender

I personally don't like the mekk-knights that much.. What do you think of the machina engine in orcust? (4 machina monsters & 3x machina redeployment) It enables a 1.5 card combo that leads into the scrap recycler combo with an extra body on board and no need for columns. But nobody seems to be playing it in all of the profiles.. so I'm wondering if there is some major flaw to it that I'm overlooking or if just nobody is aware of this?

I know it's an old video, but the more I look at it the first combo doesn't need Linkuriboh, does it? You can summon out Orcust Knightmare while controlling Girsu and the token (3 mat on field), Knightmare and Girsu into Galatea, Galatea into Dingirsu, Dingirsu and Token into I:P? Saves an ED slot?

I am wondering, is "world legacy secrets" a to hard brick to run or hasn't anyone ever considered it? It's situational. But if you open with mekk-knights it is a additional monster negation + a search for girsu/mekk-knight or another monster negate while using Indigo. While playing 10 mekk-knights and 2 wands it is also possible to run Morining Star to either search Succession or Secrets by discarding one of those 12 cards, likely duplicates. Girsu alone is able to summon Morningstar by itself. If you open wand and summon Morning star you could discard wand to search for wand to summon it from hand with its effect, which let's you extend your combos more with sending another orcust card to the GY with girsu instead. I know that extradeck space is really tight and Secrets is a bit slow being a trap but I see some potential in just those 2 cards. Any suggestions?

Dingirsu is removal. I could add back zeroboros for the same reason actually.. unicorn is a form of removal... The deck only really suffers if things they shuffled back into the deck. Then side board the rest like cosmic cyclones, lightning storms.

Consistency is great. Great hands 1 Girsu, scrap recycler, 1 Jet synchron, Mekk Knight + level 1 Discard outlet + knightmare Bad hand All big mekk knights no backrow and going 1st. 2 world Wanda in hand. 5 bricks.

How do you feel about the O-Lion? I’m on the fence. Pre-Girsu, I like Jet much better than O-Lion because Jet is a great normal summon and I find myself not minding the discard more than half the time. Normal Jet and going into Linkuriboh and then Needlefiber is still full Orcust combo and potentially setting up Dingirsu on opponent’s turn if you’re discarding Skeleton for Jet.

I tried to refocus the deck for the purpose of etco. Winda Lock is still really strong vs adamancipator etc and I will cut space for it next time. Everyone is maining impermanence which makes it really hard to make it stick sometimes.

It's a practical question, and particular to this deck - I think this deck struggles to recover more than most in the format. With harp horror gone, the extension options past the first scrap recycler or girsu are more limited. You either have to discard orcust knightmare or foolish burial it. I'm wondering what options players have been choosing for extenders that help push past hand traps. I've seen magicians souls, which is not bad with scrap recycler. Maybe a small danger package?

U need extenders, u can choose for going second and add instant fusion making the mekk knights more viable. If u open plays with mekkknoghts girsu being ashed or hand trapped isn't an issue and is a more standard play for the deck. When the mekk knights are summoned, they can add girsu which auto set up 1 body.

@@MSTTV if they ash Girsu and you have a MK (say purple) then what's the follow up, usually? I'm also guessing that if girsu gets hit by infinite impermanence we feel very sad. But in the case of ash: Girsu eff for token -> linkuriboh -> special purple -> add blue sky -> special blue sky -> add something (probably another girsu for the following turn) -> galatea with girsu + blue sky? But unfortunately in such a case we don't have any banished machine monsters to shuffle back. Maybe overlaying for dingirsu or making I:P instead is preferred. Barricadeborg seems like an excellent fallback option here if one can fit it - if we have an orcust knightmare in hand then you just make barricadeborg pitching it and go from there.

The best way is to do what tombox mention... Basically with any combo don't try to copy it to the T.... You have to learn and teach yourself how to get to the end board... Then you attempt to simplify it and the steps it takes you to get there...

Hmmm 2 card combo? How does that work? I'd be interested in seeing that. I have been playing mekk-knight and orcust separately for a while now. And never played scars. Always played whispers, secret and the other 1. For monster spell and trap negation. But scars just never came up enough to warrant playing it. Especially in a build that only runs mekk-knight as an engine. If it is a more mekk-knight centric build than I would see that. I was actually trying to find a way to make it work consistently because if pulled off than yes it's basically an auto win. Sorry that was very long winded. Lol

Editing I could always do it, (look at the cooking videos) but Yu-Gi-Oh videos are always racing the clock so I optimized the workflow a bit, every year do a little bit more. I rarely get to B roll, I don't have much space, but now a days Im trying to make that process less of a hassle.

Nibiru funny enough I was playing today for I did get Nibirued... Didn't die... I forced the nibiru at 4 link material, throwing wand in grave, nibiru dropped, I dropped a Gizmek made LIB, and add succession revived an orcust... after I started burning thru my graveyard... When u start with the scrap stuff it's a good set up.
