This was Coopers best game in his 3 year career at MSU.

MSU is now 2nd in CBB in FT% at 82%, behind only Wisconsin at 85%. MSU is also back at #1 in Fast Break scoring at 20 ppg.

Akins most productive season at the FT line was his Soph season where he went 24-34. This season he is already 32-36. That is the biggest change to his game and it's opening up his outside shot more. Teams can't close as hard as they used to. In fact, he has only taken 85 FT's in 101 games prior to this season. He has an outside chance of doubling his career FT attempts and should double his career FT makes as he only had 58 before this season.

That's a great point about Akins. He is much more comfortable in his takes and is getting to the rim more effectively. He is not forcing those 20 foot contested jumpers nearly as much. Just needs to get the 3 ball more dialed in.

Sprinkle was asked in his presser if he thought the travel had anything to do with the game. He laughed and said it would be a nice excuse if it did but he said no way. He even added that he didn't think it would until their 3rd or 4th trip out East. He ended with ask me then. He said it was that MSU just out toughed and out competed his team. He blamed himself for not getting across to his team how MSU plays, especially at home.

You guys have great analysis but Rod's foul, blashpeming mouth is too much. I'll vote with my feet and unsubscribe. Will pray for you Rod.
