The 2008 MSU Drumline plays their cadence The Series outside the SBS in East Lansing on 10/18/08. I like the 32nd-note shots in the snare break. :)

17 year later and I can't listen without wanting to do all the moves and sounds the non-drummers do (Alto Sax 1988-1991). I still love the series, and it still gets me amped and ready to head for Spartan Stadium. GO STATE!

Best percussion of any marching band in the United States. God, I love these guys.

This is great. So rare to have good footage of this amazing drumline where the viewer can see well. Thanks for posting.

As a fan of MDF$ and MSU's drumline. I would get off of my death bed to see these two lines face off for the title of THE REAL SPARTANS!!!!!

@star2722 Many high schools around mid-Michigan have parts similar to Michigan States Cadence, but they can't play near as well.

It's watching old school cavies snares. Anyone else agree? ... hmmm, maybe it's just the green. Sweet piece.

@watchcoww I appreciate both drumlines. I'm not sure what makes MSU's line have more class than Michigan's though...?

@RECON4NOW I know! I was wondering the same thing! Their are more than just snares in the freaking drumline! Show the quads and basses once in a while! Even the cymbals deserve some recognition! I'm so sick of people making such a big deal over snares! What about the rest of us?!

@RECON4NOW I was wondering the same thing! Show the freakin quads and basses once in a while, even the cymbals deserve recognition!! Snares aren't the only interesting part of the drumline!

awesome video except for all those damn cars! lol I was just disappointed right when they where doing some awesome visuals 2:26 not only one but three giant vans and suvs drive past blocking the view. Wish they wouldn't play right in the middle of the road so you could get a better view.

Owosso and St Johns were the only 2 hs bands with the original copies for the series back when it was written for the MSU marching band so all others are just copies...
