Once you're in, you're in. However, there ARE chair tryouts in the fall each year and if you do not score high enough, you will be an "alternate". You would only get to march IF you are needed due to an absence of someone who is actually in "the block". I don't know how many of each instrument they take, it probably depends on the number of people who have to be replaced because they have graduated. So practice, good luck, and know that it WILL be the BEST experience of your LIFE!

If u make it your first year do you have to keep re auditioning or what? Also how many freshmen make it?
