How much is too much when you talk about your family? I was including my family’s experiences and how that affected me and why I want to go into social work, but I’m unsure if I dove too much into my parents’ experiences. But the rest of the statement will be my education and job experiences etc.

@@mochistar3 In a personal statement, it's important to include some bits and pieces about your upbringing and life up until this point. However, I would always ask myself if this information is relevant to my wanting/becoming a social worker. What about your parent's experiences informed your decision

Hi, do you need to already have a degree to apply for the MSW program at fordham? I went to college but never graduated. I am looking to start my social work degree.

hey Jaylin in order to apply to any MSW( master in social work) program you will have to have a bachelor's degree. If you are interested in social work I encourage you to get a BSW (undergrad) followed by a MSW.

Just take it a section at a time, make sure you answer all the questions and always seek out someone who can edit and revise.
