Was never much in to dubstep back in its peak, what like 09-12? There was a handful of songs I enjoyed, but most electronic bases music actually gave me anxiety. Fast forward to now, I'm 28 and going back to music from my past. I realize I really really enjoy chill dubstep like this. Found my way to this song from Sierra Leone, one of the ones I used to listen to. I listened to this about 5 times back to back when I found it. I felt something different, just this general feeling. I can't really describe it, but I felt inspired. Well now I'm writing and recording (through a game, I can't get to space IRL) a short film because of this feeling it gave me. No dubstep in it, just more or less epic orchestral pieces, but they give that same general feeling. Crazy how something you used to stray away from in the past can make such an impact on you a decade later.
