Thank you. I appreciate it. It was a very fun collaboration to be a part of and very thankful to Jason and Aaron for including me.

Great show. Just because I just got his 1922 E120 American Caramel card in the mail today. I'll put in an honorable mention for Eppa Rixey. He played 21 seasons with the Phillies and Reds. He held the NL record for most wins for a left hander from 1933 to 1959 when Warren Spahn surpassed him. Rixey was inducted into the HOF in 1963.

@Peacemakercards yes, great addition! He is another interesting character. Well educated and career success, yet not a lot of recognition in 2024. He has some very cool looking cards, including that E120. Congrats on a great mail day!

Great show guys. My choice with 1 HM, Left Grove, Sandy Koufax, Warren Span, Steve Carlton, hm Vida Blue. Don’t forget Babe Ruth.
@Valuevintagecards-AaronАй бұрын
@peterb4871 solid list, Peter. You are between Josh and Jason on their lists. No Randy Johnson?! Great HM, too! Vida Blue was a stud for several years, for sure.

considering you guys prefaced your video by saying that you aren't stats guys, you really did a great job here. I do consider myself a stats guy and you guys ran circles around me. I got an education today! I'm very fond of Billy Pierce. it amazes me that he's cards in the 50's are considered commons. the backs of many of his cards talk about how he was the greatest pitcher of his era and I learned recently that he also pitched really well in 3 straight all-star games - this was, of course, back when more importance was placed upon the outcomes of those games and the players gave it their best. really nice video and discussion!

Great show and cards. The comparison with Santana dna Koufax is interesting in WAR over five years, but Koufax separates in many other ways. World Series, more cy youngs, more triple crowns, more all stars, more no hitters. The left arm of God! Anyway, fun stuff as always.
@Valuevintagecards-AaronАй бұрын
@@MarksDodgersCards I 100% agree, Koufax is the clear superior player. I just found it interesting how much closer the Santana comparison was than I would have ever guessed. Maybe the better comp is really Kershaw!

@@VintageCardWonderlandAwesome job Josh! Have to go with my boys leaving off Koufax
@VintageCardWonderlandАй бұрын
@ Thank you. I understand why some people might leave off Koufax, but his greatness, albeit brief, was so dominant, that in my mind that kept him on my list. All in all, a fun episode to debate and lots of fantastic LH pitchers well deserving to be on that list.

Good show! Really appreciate the conversation. Lefty Grove under appreciated? Warren Spahn is the man!
