We lived here when young, we loved it, hated the valley, most kids had never seen Mount Shasta or anything else of interest.

That is an issue, going to the falls requires that you walk along those tracks.

Misael David Now is the time! There is plenty of snow there now but be prepared for the road conditions. 4 wheel drive is a must but if not you may need chains just to be safe. It is absolutely the best drive I have done in a while. It is also cold so wear layers. I hope this helps. Have fun!

Where are you going? This video covers destinations, like Shasta dam and lake, that are 50+ miles from the mountain and town - a whole different world.

I went there in summer. In December, there might be more snow.

Year round is fine. You may get an odd snowfall, but it is cleared in 1-2 days. I like the snow on the mountain, so avoid August - November.
