Wow Daniel! Am watching this one right now. That scenery blows my mind. Just epic as was your first days hike in (following you explaining the timeframe between doing Mt Owen to starting this one). Can’t wait to see more so back to viewing. Going to move into the theatre rm to view this one so that I can do it justice. Thanks so much🙌🏼☺️💁🏼♀️

Great video Daniel, captured well. I have done this trip twice now from Manapouri, it's certainly a wonderful journey. I like your comment of it being a beach on a mountain. The images you captured are stunning.

Thanks very much. I've thought about doing this trip so many times over the years, but the logistics involved has always led me going somewhere else. So happy that everything finally lined up, and hope it won't be my last.

Amazing. Lived in the area (Otago) for 45 years and wasn't aware Mt Titiroa was worth the bother. Been wrong before, and boy was I wrong this time! Great photos, great video. Thanks Daniel.

Thanks for watching! I've been aware of Titiroa for ages, but even then, wasn't prepared for how incredible it was - such an amazing place.

In my time working in FNP, we often glazed our eyes towards Mt Titiroa, but never succumbed. Lots of climbs we did long tramps, building huts/tracks, but time was the system wrangler. Friends from south of Nightacaps have climbed, your shots though are epic, many thanks.
@DanielMurrayPhotography8 ай бұрын
Similarly have looked at the summit so many times, but it was always just a little too logistically difficult to get to relative to other awesome options in the neighbourhood. So glad I finally made it! Thanks for all your work on the tracks and huts :-)

Choice video, thank you. Mt Owen has been on my 'list' for some time now. I was in the Kahurangi area a few weeks ago, but info from the DOC office in Nelson was discouraging regarding the Dart River ford. Interesting to see you using this crossing, it looked in reasonably good condition at the time of your visit. Perhaps this may have been something similar to the weather on you trip, in that I perhaps should have gone and had a look for myself! O well, with a little luck next time for me won't be to far off. Watching you video has renewed my hope for a visit here. Thanks again for such wonderful photography, really enjoyed it. Best regards.
@DanielMurrayPhotography8 ай бұрын
Thanks very much! Your comment has ended up on the wrong video 🙂, but the Dart ford was in a lot worse condition when I drove in (footage was actually taken on the way out). High flows the day before I did the trip had removed all the sand, leaving some lumpy rocks to drive over - luckily I had my 4WD. I think so long as you turn up in a good weather window, and sufficiently after a prior bad window, then it should be all good.

I waited all day to get time to myself to watch this and it was thoroughly worth the wait. As a tramper I enjoyed the small details on getting there and as a hobbie photographer the panorama videos and the images at the end. Another great vid 👏. Favorites images are 2.30 and 2.42! Another place added to my wish list. Thanks Daniel for sharing

Hello! Your video remind meI was lived and hiked here, the trail name "Dusky track", because at that moment I was a beginner, so I couldn't finished it. But after the fail experience, I start to hike a lots when I leave NZ and back to my country. Your video really beautiful, remind me the most beautiful memory in NZ. May I ask which track you did in this video? It is so beautiful.... I'm thinking go back Milford national park and hike again this year, so I need more information and research more homework, thanks a lot. Greeting from Pei Han.

Absolutely beautiful! Would the most challenging part be getting to your destination or returning back to your starting point (after uve reached your desired location?) Do you bump into other hikers along the way? Your vids and imagines are incredible 👍🔥
@DanielMurrayPhotography8 ай бұрын
Thank you very much! Getting there is always the most challenging, especially on a trip like this where off-track navigation is required - once you know the way it tends to be faster and easier. On this trip I bumped into a few people in the first couple of hours of Manapouri, which is popular for day walking. After that I saw two sets of couples across the 4 days. 99% of the trip I was on my own.

Thanks for this! Im preparing to climb titiroa tmr and it was bery informative! Wanna ask from pt 1412 tarn, how long was your hike up to the summit?
@DanielMurrayPhotography8 ай бұрын
Hiya! I stayed at the tarn near pt 1505, but I suspect the summit climb time would be similar though maybe slightly longer from 1412 - I'd say allow around 30 mins.
