Hello, thank you for sharing this video I have question please if you don't mind, is there any extremly dangerous part ascending like cliffs with deep drops etc etc? My intention is to go in February... Thank you Regards Mike

Hi Mike, no I would say the path is very well established due to the number of people trekking. There are a few areas if you decide to deviate from the path that could be potentially hazardous with large drops but apart from that the path is fairly simple with a few slightly more technical areas but no climbing is required. Personally I found the decent was slightly more tricky due to lots of loose gravel and stones, so easy to trip and loose your footing, a good pair of boots with ankle support is a definite must. Hope that helps.

Excellent video! I have a question, in terms of equipment and clothing what do you recommend me to carry for this beautiful experience? (I'm also planning on going on August) And if you consider this can be done by a beginner.

Thank you! The first day of hiking to the Refuge was very hot, most people were in shorts and a vest top/t shirt. For the summit itself you will definitely want to bring some warmer clothes, a hat, gloves, trousers, a warm jacket and maybe a merino wool base layer. There isn’t usually any snow at this time of year so no crampons are needed. I would also recommend bringing a small sleeping bag for sleeping in the Refuge, a good torch, toilet paper and a micro fibre towel and soap if you plan to shower, maybe some comfortable shoes to wander around in. I would also recommend either buying or bringing snacks with you as they massively help on summit day. Apart from that just anything else you should expect on a hike. There are only a select few charging points in the Refuge so maybe a power bank if you have lots of things to charge. I think this trip is very doable for a beginner, summit day is all uphill and a hard push towards the end but if you are determined you will be absolutely fine. I hope you have a fantastic time! All the best!

Hello, I have been looking into doing Mount Toubkal for a while. I was wondering what the process for booking this trip was: •Who you booked with •How did you book the trip such as WhatsApp messaging them details or? •What was included in the deal as I’m assuming it’s everything bar flights to get to Marrakech where everyone meets •And can I book alone and join a group of people or do I have to have a group Thanks

Hi there, I booked through a UK based company called Skyhook and ended up trekking with 6 other people (can be up to 12 people per group depending on the time of year). Most of the people were travelling/booking solo so it’s a great way to meet people. I booked via their website and thereafter most of the communication is done via email and/or WhatsApp which worked well. Flights were not included in the deal but almost everything to do with the trek was (food, accommodation, transport etc). The only additional cost was if you wanted to buy additional bottled water or snacks (ie over the allowance they give you) which is available at various points during the trek and not expensive. Hope that helps.

@@lizzieclarkkk can you be picked up before 8pm? How do you get in contact with them prior to the trip as my flight gets me in early, and I’d rather get to Imlil early, otherwise I’m sitting around which I don’t want to do! Hope you can help.
