Remember back in the mid 60’s fishing and catching golden trout at lake of the clouds, a dcamping right next to it, those days are gone forever!

11:8 miles in 7 hrs on that hike is pretty darn fast; IF you want to 'make time'. It took me longer since I stop to gawk and take photos.

can a 10 yr old do this hike?
@FlyingLizardRg4 жыл бұрын
Sure can, with a bit of a hiking base. My 8 and 10 year old boys did it with me.

Age is mostly irrelevant, what matters is general fineness and mindset. If they're already doing long hikes with you it shouldn't be a problem. I would recommend going up Ammonoosuc and down Jewel as Ammonoosuc is much steeper and harder to descend. I just did it 2 weeks ago at night when it was covered in meltwater from the snow, it was a frustratingly slow decent. I could've done the trail easily 30-45 faster if I had gone counter clockwise instead of clockwise
