Super helpful video! Did you have to get a day pass for Whitney Zone, or is it possible to do this with just a wilderness permit from Cottonwood Meadows?

Hey! Just saw your awesome video on youtube! How was the hike going down the dreaded sandhill? I'm thinking about attempting it from Discovery Pinnacle on my way out to Cottonwood Lakes? Is it an easy route to follow and how dangerous did you think it was? Any real chance of just falling down to the bottom of the hill?
