Tony, I got a great deal on a barely used gc1710, so I'm happy enough. But, your tractor there, it definitely has some perks over mine. For one, I HATE the seat on this thing...I'm actually currently working on modifying it. So, I'm pretty jealous you're loving your seat lol. Also, those kubota style pull-out pins to detach backhoe and loader on your tractor, I like those a lot. Your loader stands (for when you detach the loader) have feet on them, that's real nice. And finally, on another video, I already praised your lock for the backhoe, that thing is awesome. One thing I need to counter though, having to raise the wheels on my mmm deck to driver over it, I never do that, I just leave them where they're at, it's no biggie.

On the deck anti scalp wheels, you could turn the wheels 180º and have the grease fittings on the inside, that should help protect them. If that won't work, remove the axle bolts and put them in the other direction

Could you flip the deck roller wheels 180 degrees so the grease fittings are on towards the inboard side of the deck? Hence protecting the grease zirks? just a thought.

I love mine. Thanks for sharing all the info. These are so new, therejust isn't a lot of info out on them yet. The only thing I would change on mine is having to pull a wheel off to put the 3 point hitch on....the BX looks to be better thought out. It would be great if you could keep the lower arms on with the backhoe in place.
@MrMotor11
@MrMotor11 5 жыл бұрын
I had the same reality check. Pulling the wheel off to apply the 3 point is a pain. Also to change the hydro filter. Not a big chore with pneumatics but having to Jack it up and do all that extra, they could've stole Kubotas idea

Nice review. It seems most of your complaints were addressed for the 2019 GC1700 Series. We just bought a GC1725MB with a 60” drive over deck on Thursday. It should be delivered in the next day or so. It was only $1500 more than a leftover 2018 GC1720, so it was a no brainer to just get the ‘19. AGCO’s 0.99% for 84 months is hard to beat, too. But, as you mentioned before, dealer support is important, and it seems we found a good one for the Massey. I can’t wait to put it to work.

I am getting a 1723 with loader, 60" midmount mower & Humboldt pto bagger/vacuum. No LS dealer nearby. By the way, the drive over deck is meant to be backed over if you have the loader on, from the videos I've watched.
@redgeminipa
@redgeminipa 5 жыл бұрын
jscmoto46 As for the Massey drive over deck, back over to remove, forward over when attaching, with or without loader on. Must be in 4WD, though. It’s a very solid deck. We’re at almost 30 hours on it so far, and no serious complaints. The location of the lights is terrible, as I broke one the first week. Might switch the to low profile LEDs.

I bought a 1725. I put 120 hrs on it dragging logs, digging stumps plus other things. I added some 18 inch forks to the bucket for loading logs. Only trouble I've found is the bolts that hold the loader on doesn't fit the holes perfectly. I stepped up the size from the metric size to a standard size fine thread and all is good.

I like the review of that tractor and it seems that you got a good tractor and must love it. The tractor I just purchased is nice, but I wish it had a hookup for a belly mower even though I don't have one. It don't look like the rubber mat is thick enough and thinner than the one I have on my new tractor. The one on my older tractor is thicker than the one one your tractor. I have never heard of the LS name before and is wondering who makes it.

Im thinking on purchasing a sub compact tractor as spending $4,000 every 6 to 8 years for garden tractors that dont hold up is getting old. I am disabled and dont do lifting so need tractor that alows removal of implements with little to no lifting. The GC Series Massy seems to fit that bill best. But its been along time since i spent any time with tractors. Back when i did farming i had a Ford 3,000 i also had a Ford 3400 industrial version with loader. I just need something now that i can take care of my 4.5 acre truck farm. Mowing small landscaping work, cultivating my garden and cutting back the brush that keeps crowding the yard. Any input or advice would be appreciated.
@kenjett2434

@@TonysTractorAdventure it does to some extent i have concluded that long term it will be more cost effective to go sub compact vs another garden tractor. I have a number of dealers in my local area. Massy Ferguson, Mahindra, Kubota and John Deer for sure. I think just recently a new LS dealer opened up. But one thing i have learned over years dont rely on dealers to give you the best option simply because. Each dealer is trying to sell their tractor. I want to look for advice of those who own and have run these sub compact tractors. Since i am disabled i cant do much if any lifting so first and formost it must be handycap friendly. Thus the LS tractor with the mower having to come out from the side. Does not sound like a good option as i cant be pulling and tuging to install it under the tractor.

@@TonysTractorAdventure that is something that i was thinking heavily on fhanks for taking the time to lend your advice. The dealer advice is good also which also leads me too my Massy Ferguson dealer been family owned now for 75 years locally Lemons Farm Equipment Parkersburg WV. I also like my local John Deer dealer that has also been in buisness for many years but the John Deer versions seems a bit pricey in comparison. The other dealers are all relatively new and very well not be so good.

Was there a noticeable difference in horsepower going from the GC1705 to the MT125? For instance, with tilling, did it make a big difference? There are a couple of LS dealers pretty far away from me in the state that advertise pretty reasonable prices on MT122 and MT125 tractors. I really like what I have read about the LS tractors, but there isn't a dealer near me. There used to be one in my town, but they dropped the brand citing problems with getting service work done. Just switch the front deck wheels, put the right one on the left side and the left one on the right side and that will put your grease zerks on the inside.

It is easier to just rotate them around. They are all the same. It works on the front, but the grease zerks hit the tires on the rear. They are not as likely to be hit on the rear. I have never broken one off turning them around on the front two. Still not my favorite design.
