MTA IND 2nd Avenue Line: R160A Rerouted (M) + R46/R68A (Q) Trains At 72nd Street Station (4/20/2024)

Saturday, 04/20/2024, from 5:28 PM (17:28), to 7:10 PM (19:10), MTA NYC Subway IND 2nd Avenue Line, this is some train action at the 72nd Street-2nd Avenue Station in Manhattan's Upper East Side area. This action features Alstom R160A rerouted (M) trains, as well as two (Q) trains (one Pullman Standard R46, and one Kawasaki R68A).
On this day to provide alternate service due to weekend construction suspending (L) trains between Brooklyn and Manhattan, (M) trains in Manhattan were extended via 6th Avenue between Delancey-Essex Streets and 47-50th Streets-Rockefeller Center. However north of 47-50th Streets-Rockefeller Center, (M) trains ran via the (F) line to and from Lexington Avenue-63rd Street, and then via the (Q) line to and from 96th Street-2nd Avenue (alternate northern terminus).
