Most bus systems don't allow food (for obvious reasons), but I used to sneak food onto buses and eat some of it -- especially if it was a long trip.

When did NYCMTA switch to electric start? I know many of the RTSs had air start and this bus sounds like an electric start. So did they have a time frame of all air start buses and go back to electric or was that only an RTS thing for NYCMTA?

Around 1997-98 starting with rts 9350-9699 and I think possibly mci buses.

Does NYCMTA also replace driver seats on buses when they run into mechanical issues? I know now days many transit authorities have replaced the entire seat when the original seat runs into mechanical issues. I know many of WMATAs buses the driver seats dont all match after a few years. Same with SEPTA. And I know the York County Rabbit Transit and Baltimore MTA replace driver seats when they encounter mechanical issues and I noticed the driver seat on this bus appears to be somewhere from 2004 and after as Recaro changed the design in 04. So Im wondering if NYCMTA is among those who replaces driver seats due to technical difficulty?
