I think that’s the transmission. I could be wrong.

I rode a similar XN that sounded like this back in December of 2019. It was 694 out of WF. I was told it was due to a cold start.

I agree, the best ZF buses are the new 2019 LFS. Idk what they did with them buses but they are fast af and accelerate way faster than the previous ZF models.

The diesels have slightly more torque than the CNG ISLs, so they can power through second gear and not experience a big loss of power

ZF Ecomat was the better option ...but i guess transit agencies have them spec'd defferently for their performance needs.
