Great to know. Too many drivers are getting away with parking at bus stops. They do it all the time at bus stop and the police rarely, if ever, ticket the drivers or make them move.

Actually we do already. We have a DVR Button that was initially made for us when traveling in the Bus Lane now we can use it for both bus stops occupied and bus lanes.

As an Operator out of Manhattan I can tell you the rule. If you are in a bus lane and are with in the space where the dashed lines to enter the bus lane to make a right turn you will not get a ticket. If you are doubled parked, or driving in the bus lane for more than 30ft with or with or without your indicator on you will receive a bus lane violation ticket, and now you will also receive one if your are parked, double parked, or blocking a bus stop. Hope that helps. I actually have the official NYCT memorandum if you’d like to see it.

How about you ask how difficult the city had made it for truck drivers to do their job. How they have squeezed big aves from 4 lanes down to 2 and have bumped parking spots to the middle of the streets and have taken legit parking spots to either house citi bike or outdoor dinning. Haven't made any truck offloading more available so the restaurants and businesses can get their deliveries.
