The Bx25 is coming back in the Bronx bus redesign, also the Q14 & Q75 labels are said to come back in the revised Queens bus redesign, albeit under different routes.

Some other info on why they discontinued: V Train: The M/V Combo discontinued the V and maybe because the V was a local version of the F M train: Turned Orange and ran to 71 Av instead of Bay Parkway, Bklyn QM22: Maybe cut due to low ridership Q14: Discontinued or merged with the Q15 to form the Q15A M6: Close proximity to other routes Q75: Close proximity to other routes B77: Maybe was too short QM23: Redundant as you can basically take the QM15/16 or QM17 to Jamaica Av and take the Q56 or they cut it for something S67: Discontinued as it copied the S57 and S66 S60: (The Gryme Hill Loop) Merged with the S66 Bx25: Restored as of June 26 2022 Bx55: Relabeled to the Bx15LTD but doesn’t go past Fordham Plaza to Gun Hill Road B75: either cut due to something or people payed more attention to the B61 in the neighborhood X51: Close proximity to the 7 train and Port Washington Branch and redundant X90: Useless as it stayed in Manhattan or nobody payed attention to it and took the subway B39: Either was redundant or nobody used it(Restored in 2013 as daytime only) B51: Close to the B39 Route and kinda had low ridership Q79: (Restored as weekday Q36 buses to Little Neck) Q74: ran with too many routes and was useless? Q89: (Originally the Q9A until relabeled in 2008) Low Ridership, could do a good walk between terminals X29: Close proximity to the Q train maybe BxM4A: Maybe discontinued due to its proximity to the 4 line or was redundant. BxM7A: Relabeled BxM8 BxM7B: Discontinued. B51 went along the Manhattan bridge and the B39 goes along the Williamsburg Bridge which actually doesn't makes sense why they got rid of the b51 and kept the b39

The bus running on the X51 is a 1999 New Flyer D45HF Suburban and they were called the Vikings.
