Thanks for the video. It was helpful in trying to figure out my pace for the 2019 race. Well done.

Mike Hughes enjoy the course! Hopefully the snow will have melted enough for you to ride the TRT up to Marlette Peak. Spectacular views!

@@MountainVenture Thanks, I will. I spoke to the course marker yesterday and apparently there is still too much snow at the top so there is a slight re-route. I made notes on what he told me and it appears Trailforks has it right. All I know is I need to pace myself to make it through all of the climbing. Is it your opinion the 4 miles between Spooner Lake and the Flume trail is the toughest stretch? Thanks again!

Excellent video! I'd love to do this ride but I know it's WAY harder than you make it look.

I had not done any real training on the bike prior to the race. All my training focused on running. I completed the 42mi distance in 7hrs at an easy pace w lots of time hanging out at the aid stations. I think I’m going to do this or a similar distance race this year w more cycling in my legs and see how that goes. The event itself was so much fun and well organized.

What was your finishing time? Thinking about this race for 2019

The ride took me 7hrs. I was enjoying the journey, sitting and talking at aid stations. Plus, I had not done any cycling specific training. I was primarily doing ultra distance running at that point. If I did this ride again, I would train more specifically for it.
