When the video started I knew this phone was doomed. I wish a Quick recovery to Steve, I broke wrists three times and its a pain in the a** not to be able to use your hands properly during the length of a summer.

I can’t remember the last time I went OTB like that. Typical that it happens on the first ride ever that I have something mounted to the bars!

Well obviously quick mend to your mate. Mega looking trails, great riding. Made me laugh with the Komoot. I did a ride recently up near Matlock using it and the sound of "make a u-turn" started ringing in my ears.....normally it's spot on! You did remind me why I keep my phone in my bag though 😱😂 Subbed 👍
@TrailTrackerSwitzerland4 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. Thankfully the phone was old and the screen wasn’t working properly anyway, So I wasn’t massively gutted about breaking it. The replacement will definitely not be attached to the bars. The phone does still live though. All the way home in the car, it kept telling me how far away from the trail I was. “The route is 45km to the left”!!

The trail is sensational. 13km long and drops about 1,400m in total through all the different alpine zones.

I’ve been using a Garmin Fenix watch when I need to follow a map. You can load any GPX file and it’s so easy to follow. A Wahoo works pretty well also, but the watch is really slick for this.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll check it out. In the meantime, it’s back to fishing the phone out my pocket to check the map.

@@TrailTrackerSwitzerland Yes absolutely, are there many good places to hire bikes for the week? Not sure any of my bikes would survive this sort of riding haha!
@TrailTrackerSwitzerland4 жыл бұрын
Hiring a decent bike shouldn't be a problem. Many shops will rent bikes out, but it can be pricey. You could also do daily rentals in the mountain resorts rather than for a whole week and try a range of bikes out. Perhaps even an e-bike or 2?! They are made for the sort terrain we have here.

If i interpret your route correctly, you started your uphill to the start of Vorab from Crap Masegn correct? Why not take the Arena express to Nagens and start from there? I am going to Laax in 3 weeks so i am carefully planning my routes, hence my question. Great content btw!
@TrailTrackerSwitzerland Жыл бұрын
We took the lift up to Crap Sogn Gion from Laax and made our way across to Crap Masegn. From there, we pedalled on up to the Vorab. The Arena Express wasn't running back then in the summer, but I guess it would also be an option, although one with a fair bit more climbing.

@TrailTrackerSwitzerland3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I should have it somewhere on komoot, but it might not be public. I’ll see if I can dig it out. I’ll probably have to edit it first though, since when my phone screen broke it continued to record until the phone ran out of battery.
