Mtentu Lodge 🇿🇦 The Wild Coast

Mtentu Lodge is an eco-friendly retreat situated at Mtentu River Mouth, owned in collaboration with the local community. They offer rustic accommodation perfect for backpackers positioned just 48km by road from Wild Coast Sun Casino and it boasts untouched beaches, waterfalls, a turtle-filled estuary, and is in proximity to the Mkambati game reserve. Activities range from estuary canoeing, horse riding, and fishing to hiking, swimming, and relaxation, all within the stunning natural surroundings. However, based on my personal experience, the journey might not justify a single evening stay. Despite my initial hopes of it being an ideal destination to unwind and unpack after a tiring hiking journey, it became apparent that we sought more pampering than what the lodge provided. Mtentu seems better suited for those seeking a multi-day rustic adventure on the wild coast. I hope you will have a much better experience than we did.

Awesome video. We stayed just across the lodge at the campsite a couple months ago. The lodge is definitely a better choice.
