I splashed black to this deck to add Orcus, Prince of Undeath and have been pretty impressed with him. Against aggro it provides a much needed sweeper and against control you can renanimate a bunch of stuff WITH haste. It's also a legend and you only need a couple splash lands to play him since you'll get treasure off the dwarf and bard artifact. Also since it is a legend you can tutor it up with the artifact. I took out the other 4 drop legend cause she really didn't feel good to play

As for instrument of the bard, I think it's especially good with In Search for Glory, old growth trolls and geen God, can ramp into Elder Gargaroth and search for 1 for 4 turns straight, if they kill it.

I was thinking a lot about this deck, and I think it can be really promising in Historic with 4 copies of Birgi. With bard class level 3 and Birgi you can totally draw your whole library if you have mostly 2 and 3 cost Gruul legendaries, and you also have access to Samut to give all those creatures haste. In Standard it's harder to do, but there are still a lot of good legendaries in pre 2020 Standard, and cards like Henge or Embercleave all count towards it.

I'm assuming this is asking why Vorinclex won't double its own counter from Bard Class? The answer is somewhat deep in the comp rules: 614.12 Some replacement effects modify how a permanent enters the battlefield. (See rules 614.1c-d.) Such effects may come from the permanent itself if they affect only that permanent (as opposed to a general subset of permanents that includes it). So here, Vorinclex's ability will not affect how it enters the battlefield itself, since it is not a replacement effect that specifically applies only to Vorinclex.
