The truth is, the gemstone changes what the land can produce, not what it types for. Your opponents can have all the type changing lands or a blood moon. Your lands only produce that color 12:38

Just preemptively - Magic is a game that has really complex rule set, people make mistakes. Everyone involved in this video already knows that they dorked up the Hall of gemstone unteraction, nobody in the game feels cheated by the mistake, and nobody needs a thousand post pointing it out over and over.

This. Personally I was running off of no sleep from Con. By the time I wanted to say something it was already removed. Happens. It would have only slowed Joe down a single turn. And I even got an extra turn from politicking anyway. We had so much fun. And it all worked out!
