This week we take a second look at commander masters, opening a draft booster box. Priced about 2/3rds of the cost of a set box, we see if we can beat the box and open enough cards over $1 or more to cover the cost of the box. This is a special one.

Where I live in the US it’s $280 at one store and $350 at another. Also packs are $25 to $30 each at each store. So for packs I started hitting up Game stop there $18 plus there doing buy 3 get one free so yeah.

Oh damn, the game stop deal isn't bad at all. It sucks for the LGS's the had to pay so much up front, and can't stomach the loss clearing the packs at that price. Have you had any good pulls?

@@CardboardKiwi I ended up buying three boxes of this set. My draft box was $210, and my set boxes were about $280. I ended up finding those on decent deals. I also got one collector box, and pulled a foil full art jeweled lotus. My boxes overall were very good, and I really love commander masters. I just wish the prices were lower.

CMM Draft box: $470CAD / $350USD / $570 NZD CMM Set box: $600CAD / $450USD / $730 CMM Collector box: $350CAD / $260USD / $425 NZD Assuming the exchange rate of: $1.00CAD = $0.74USD = $1.21NZD Also tax on this is 13% here

@CardboardKiwi I don't see many packs moving, but I'm also not physically there more than Friday evenings. They put Collector boxes/boosters on sale last year for 55% off though, and they sold several hundred boxes in a few hours. I think the odd pack sells here or there but its slow and boxes are hardly moving. Makes me wonder why the price isn't coming down further. I think stores may have purchased at high prices and don't want to take such a large loss. Set boxes started at $700CAD / $520USD / $850 NZD and came down to the prices I listed before. Edit: Checked another LGS's website and their prices are: Draft: $430CAD (91.5%) Set: $500CAD (83.3%) Collector: $300CAD (85.7%)
