I did some extensive testing with this deck (Master of Puppets!) and a 2/2 split of Smuggler's Copter and Animation Module seems to be the way to go, this deck is FUN and very competitive ! Kudos, Dev! Keep up the great work, I think people such as yourself are a very important part of the MTG Community. You should have 100k subs imo.

Also wanted to say that I added a Westvale Abbey and cut the mortuary mire, It's quite fun to ramp into Marionette Master on turn 4-5 and then flip an Abbey sacrificing artifact creatures and draining 16-20 life from your opponent and leaving you with a 9/7 flier and 4/6 lol. :)

I just finished a list with the same main concept yesterday. It plays more in the graveyard and with a little bit of delirium, but non the less I'm glad I stumbled upon this channel. Great video. I did a similar build a couple of days ago and your tech really helped me to finish mine. Instead of splashing green, I incorporate white, to have a second win-con by spamming servos, and pumping with Master Trinketeer and Angel of Invention. I was also added Panharmonicon and Eerie Interlude, for nice combo effects. Blinking and otherwise useless Weaponcraft Enthusiast and also getting the Underhanded Desing triggers is just awesome.

Hi Dev, I like the look of this and it kind of reminds me of my limited deck and an idea that has been rattling about my head since. However I am very new to MTG and so unsure if the idea is viable or just a luck combo I ot from my Kaladesh pool. Now the base idea for this came from 3 cards I got in my pool which were: Reckless Fireweaver Cogworkers Puzzleknot any fabricate card (glint-sleeve artisan namely) So the base was Boros (mostly white and 2 mana) and going for token/burn strategy and it got me thinking of combos and the more I thought about it the more I started liking a wedge strategy for this base namely: Naya, Mardu or Jeskai builds. Naya gives the choice of either going fog with commencement of ceremonies and trying to stall out for board presence/burn and allows us to put Oviya in there to create tokens and abuse creature generation. We also get to use blossoming defence too which allows to gum up the board and waste targeted removal. Also we can play lightning weaver which with burn instants helps us wreck the vehicle deck. Mardu gives us some great recursions and artifacts such as Scraphead Scrounger and fortuitious find, which if we choose gives us a great (in theory) filigree familiar combo with morbid curiousity, it also also means that fortitious find can recur the familar again too. it gains us life and draws us the extra card for the trigger. Adding Black also just gives us removal options and as you say in this video alllows marionette to be a finisher. We also get disruption in trangress the mind and harsh scrutiny as options. And lastly Jeskai, which if I am honest feels the least lack luster of the colours but if allows us some increased draws and tempo cards to try and slow them down as we burn them down, it also allows us to use the flicker effect of essence flux and probably running 4 counters to slow the down. Now seeing that the key segement of this deck is artifacts and burn we are probably looking at prophetic prism/grafstone as our artifact colour cards to help fixing (and maybe lower budget?) and cogworks ouzzleknot works great flameweaver as it enter burns 1 and generates an artifact creature burns for another, we can play smuggler's copter(sky skiff budget) and burn one and pilot it with our flameweaver/s. We can also run We also can mainboard authority of the consul to slow them down, as a turn 1 play it right out of the gate forcing them to change plays. At the top end I used Angel of Invention (which why I though jeskai) as if you can flicker her you get make servos and get that flying boost. Perhaps this is a a serious of janky new player ideas or perhaps there is something in this as an alternative "artifacts" deck, or potentially a pauper brew as the key cards listed are all commons. I am sure in this just awake rant I have forgetton some ideas. I am aware it suffers to mass removal and some anti-token strategies but the tokens only have to hit the field for flame weaver. HM (dev style) is we chose to run a few vehicles (smuggler's copter being a thing and all) we may want the "tap and hit 1 guy" General idea is put down a fireweaver, play puzzleknots/servo exhibition and artifacts and keep pinging sort of a tokens version of thermo-alchemist. Someone either tell me I am crazy and seeing something that is not a thing as it keeps running in my head!!!

another sweet deck. I like just straight running 4 of Marionette Masters. I feel like Aristocrats decks always do better with lots of consistency/redundancy. Any chance you're planning on doing a Modules deck tech? There's a couple of synergies apart from just tronning the three modules together that are out there: Animation Module + Durable Handicraft? Animation Module + Serene Steward + Pious Evangel? As always, keep up the great work Dev :)

How about upping the evolving wilds to 4? For more consistency + more synergy with Tireless Ulvenwald Mysteries for more clues when your creatures die? Bloodbriar loves when you sacrifice permanents. Synergy with Module as well And lastly, Tamiyo's Journal is a bulky 5 drop, but a one of has done wonders for me, doing the obvious of making at least 1 clue every turn and tutoring for any card you need, and it doesn't even sacrifice itself when you do it! I've tested both G/W and W/B Clue based artifact synergy, and this was next on my list. Maybe we should give this a shot as an Abzan deck! Great video as always.

Love the deck! For sideboard instead of playing Root Out, play Appetite for the Unnatural... 3 mana instant, destroy target artifact or enchantment and gain 2 life ;-) Especially if aggro stays important in the format

love your show as always! i really like this deck tech it looks explosive! i was wondering though, if you splashed red for pia nalar and maybe some removal like harnessed lightning, you could not only sac artifacts/clues to go big, but also to make a fight go in your favour almost every trade when you swing in. also it let's you use unlicensed disintegration which is bonkers. What are your thoughts? i was looking at something similar which became naya humans

I've been working on the infinite thopter combo deck but It's still very clunky. I moved from U/R to Jeskai to Dark Jeskai (Contraband Kingpin) but still needs that something. I crafted a similar u/r deck with reckless fireweaver, thermo-alch, dynavolt, and metallurgic summonings. kind of needs a lot to go off, but when it does, its ridiculous. pretty much any instant or sorcery deals damage to opponents and makes a creature giving you a huge board presence. maybe better in multiplayer, but still pretty insane.

I'm confused on hedron crawler. What's it's purpose? I was considering swapping it out for cultivators caravan since you can tap it to create any color mana and crew it to have a 5/5 beater.

jinkxkng the hedron crawler can be played turn 2, so i suppose cost is a factor, but that vehicle is a nice idea

Tested this deck against Gruul in different variations (aggro, Pummeler and a midrangy build) and it does quite well. I used Animation Module instead of Loot Copter to reduce the cost of the deck and it can make Marionette Master quite insane. But I think 4 copies might be to much since you almost never have a use in having 2 Modules out, because it starts to get costly in mana.

Just a comment and a question. First, I like watching your videos. They help me out a lot on thinking "outside the box" with some of my deck ideas. I built a different kind of artifact deck but from watching Pro Tour matches and your deck techs it has a solid and interesting set up. Still have to work out the glitches by play testing it. If there is a way for me to privately send you the deck idea please let me know so I can get some feedback. Second, at the end of the video you have a "deck rating" (that's just what I'm calling it) how do you determine everything? I want to use this on my deck(s) so I know if something isn't fast enough or strong enough. Because from the video it seems like your power would be more than a seven considering how many things are getting +1/+1 counters plus the fact that you have two different creatures that deal damage whenever a creature dies.

I'd advise adding a couple copies of Panharmonicon, it doubles all ETB triggers of creatures and artifacts from your permanents, so you get 1 extra fabricate trigger per panharmonicon in the field, it's also an artifact so, more synergy.

His deck isn't really generating many ETB triggers -- a total of 6 creatures with fabricate out of 60 cards is too low a frequency to justify it. If you made a deck with a lot of token generators and blink effects, e.g. Eyeless Watcher, Weaponcraft Enthusiast, Marionette Master, Eldrazi Displacer, Wispweaver Angel, maybe a Cataclysmic Gearhulk to sac out your whole board for Zulaport drain. Some infinite Panharmonicon combos: 2x Wispweaver + anything with ETB tokens (infinite tokens); Eyeless Watcher + Displacer (infinite Scions, mana, drain triggers, infinite Unruly Mob counters). Also, 2x Wispweaver by themselves will give infinite Unruly Dwarf counters, even without Panharmonicon. Also worth noting that Altered Ego copying Wispweaver will have the ETB blink and can start the infinite blink combo.

You're forgetting the ETB trigger for Underhanded Design. Being able to double that is significant to the deck's game plan. However, with the pay 1 cost, it isn't automatic, so you may not always be able to take advantage of it.

You know, I've been tinkering with this deck idea, but I've been having a brainstorm with the affinity decks too. Thus I want to run a tinkered version of this deck that you might like. Replacements: 4x Tireless Trackers for 4x Steel Overseers 4x Smuggler's Copters for 2x Thopter Spy Network and 2x Chief of the Foundry Possible Additions: Puppet Conjurers for off-turn blocking and being a general pain in the rump for the combos. Heck, replace the Tireless Trackers with the Puppet Conjurers for more consistent and continuous combo activations. If you can find a combo that untaps him, think of the terror you can cause.
